This outage was listed as the "OUTRAGE OF THE WEEK" in one of the local papers today.
They said something about a Congressional inquiry about Sony covering up the info about the credit card numbers being stolen for a week before telling people.

Are there details on how exactly they'll force you to make a new password? I'm one of those idiots who put their password on autocomplete and eventually forgot it.

If you need to ask if PSN is up, then it probably isn't. That's my rule of thumb on the whole situation.

I get this big gray bar across the screen that says I cannot watch Netflix because I cannot log into the PSN. This is after I begin loading the particular episode I want to watch.

It is strange, because I am watching Netflix right now on my ps3, and the streaming works fine. I can add/remove from my Instant Que, and have been able to watch everything so far.
I can browse the library just fine, it's when I begin downloading. I do get the occasional "Sign in to the PSN."

Tried several times over the last few years and I haven't been able to, and i've tried contacting the people that deleted it and they haven't ever gotten back to me
