You know, it would be nice if they weren't so bloody vague about when they will post the next update. Even if they just said "We're working on it" each time, it would at least be something.
Right now, nobody really knows specifically when they'll post an update, so then we end up getting all excited each random time they update just to find out that it's just them saying that they're working on it and thanking everyone for their "patience" (i.e. Hilarious angry emails) anyways. Just get a schedule and stick to it.

Yup. Anon had nothing to do with it, but the hacker stuck their tagline on the PSN so, all blame shifted to them.

I haven't really kept up to date with everything that has happened with the whole PSN outage situation. Has Sony announced what the "Welcome back gifts" are going to be? (Besides the 1 month of Plus)

Guys it's now okay that Microsoft is charging for online service because Sony's free service went down in a completely unrelated attack that had nothing to do with cost or anything.
Obviously paid service is now superior.

I'm picking up Brink later this week, I hope PSN will be back soon.
The only reason I want PSN back is so I can get my PC copy of Portal 2. I never really used PSN otherwise. Oh, well, actually, online is required to play Bionic Commando ReArmed 2 for some reason...
I'm glad I activated my PC copy the day before PSN went down.
I really hope the online play goes up this weekend since I just picked up demon's souls and the online seems pretty rad.

They did rebuild an entire multi-national network, created new security programs and protocols so that they know what to do when stuff like this happens again, and are now testing it. Getting even the rebuilding of the network done in under a month is a accomplishment in itself, let alone fixing the seucirty. They are doing really well if they are already testing.
According to a couple of sources, developers have been given access to psn, or at least the barebones online. It's working but shaky
