Another attack is heading for Sony, claiming to be the "beginning of the end for Sony". The hacking group now has a face (and a Twitter). They've recently attacked the PBS site releasing passwords and putting up fake stories.

Seriously internet police, please crack down on these goons hard. It's also unbelievable that they have supporters on twitter awaiting their next move. How low can fanboys go.
I doubt they'll be able to do much if anything at all, I'm sure sony has upped their security by a long shot by now.
In Before the store isnt up by tomorrow.
Sorry for the bump, but I heard from some guy on another forum I go to that the PS3 security problem is pretty much unsolvable because some security chip in the PS3 was hacked into. This is pretty much what he said:
Personally, I think it's BS and it makes no sense (unless people are hacking directly into PS3's now). But does this guy really know what he's talking about or is he talking BS?
reminds me of this

Man FBI is hunting for us and legal teams want to fuck us hard I know lets start a twitter account, I meant seriously there's no way this will backfire.
you all know this is going to happen

Okay come on, it would be pretty cool if that happened besides the whole stripping part.
Ugh. Listen, all I want to do is use my sodding Playstation. That's it. I want to use what I paid for. Stop trying to "protect" us from the evil that is Sony, you braindead idiots. There are other, much less dangerous ways to validate your existence.
Hello, I was wondering if I should reformat my PS3 before I return it to the Best Buy store. I want to trade it in because it freezes constantly.
It says it'll take 9 hours to reformat so I was wondering if the workers there would reformat for me or if there is a way to untie my account(s) from the system
Sorry if I'm in the wrong thread, but I guess its related when I don't want my information stolen again. Thankyou
Yeah it's pretty fucking stupid if you believe that.
I was meaning that was what Sony was trying to fix. The exploit that got found recently. No need to be a douche.
Good news everybody. Store will apparently be up by the end of the week.

Sitting here with my 20 dollar card, frustrated. Give us a date not just "Maybe later lol"
Not really. What game?
Activision haven't been caring for the PS3 servers for Black Ops if I remember, so any lag is probably due to them. It's likely because PS3 players earn them little money compared to other platforms.

But it was only after PSN got down.
You've only noticed it now. It's been there.
Ah yes, horrendously unfunny smug pretentious narcissistic idiots that take video games way too seriously are revealing themselves to be the hackers of multiple sites and claim that they will hack PSN once more.
How brilliant. Wake me up when they get arrested due to being cocky idiots.

Not here, never had any lag before, maybe once or twice a little bit lag and conn problem, but thats it.
Does anyone here experience random PSN Disconnecting?

What a load of bullshit.
360 Sales: 10,530,274
PS3 Sales: 8,311,091
Yeah, PS3 sales earn them very little compared to other platforms.

His reasoning may have been wrong but he was right about the servers.

Compare sales of DLC, royalties paid to the service provider, etc. Not just the unit sales. You'll probably find 360 users buy DLC more often (probably due to the fake currency MS employed, it has quite an effect).
Lulzsec has been silent for 6 hours after their boast about OWNING SONY!!!
I like to think as the guy behind it was egostroking like a retard police showed up and grabbed him.
i hope he tripped on his ego and broke his neck
