The Sim Series - SimANT?! - Games

dargaggahh i fucking hate my cities. everything's fine until i get to industrial, then everything is polluted as fuck, so i raise taxes for dirty industry and lower them for high tech and demolish 70% of the existing industrial buildings to increase desirability, but it does nothing and raising it by another 0.01% causes industry RCI to plummet to the lowest it can go.

I am really, really bad at Sim City 4. I still love the game. I need to get into it more and actually attempt to do well.

Build lots of parks. It does a lot.

You will practically have to start with dirty industry but as your population becomes smarter theyll move up to high tech and manufacturing and the pollution will go away.

So if we get dirty now, we'll have a bounty of High-Tech for later cities.

You need to build more than just high schools though. You need to educate all ages. [editline]30th June 2011[/editline] I'm building a completely rural city for now, to help take off the load of agriculture demands.

yes, that's what i've done, i have a giant-ass university in the middle of the city, and nothing happens. although i also have this problem with garbage management so i'm kind of wondering if my game is broken.

Huh, so the farm town has actaully turned into a middle/high class area. Who woulda thought it?

Sid Meier's SimGold reboot was the best. I still play that shit non-stop.

Also, I wish we could have some kind of FTP thing set up with a constant stream of the region, so anybody can add at any point in time without fear of having a corrupt save between two or more people placing cities. Then we can all work on the region at the same time without having to reupload to everybody else.
