Play casual mode, it's fun and people rarely yell at you. It's nothing like the real thing though, so when you feel you know the heroes, the abilities and the items you should switch.

I always tear people a new one EVERY SINGLE TIME i try a new hero out. I've taught myself to expand the equation until i decide that "x hero is teh epics".

Yes, I had Chipper on my team so I just Portal Keyed when they tried to engage and pulled everyone to me whilst slowing them with Release and then Chipper threw his ulti to finish of any survivors.

Our Swiftblade was farming all game long so it was 4v5 and we still were winning like mad.

Single Draft game, nobody wants to swap so I get Wretched Hag. Nomad insists on taking mid, so I go top with Pebbles. Everyone keeps yelling at me to buy courier, Nomad never ganks, nobody calls mias except me and then yells when I forget to call any at all. Everyone but Nomad and I focus Warbeast after he solos Kong and gets the token, so we all die from the rest of them.

Needless to say we lost.

Just got out with some Reddit people. We had the most whiney Forsaken Archer ever. He sucked ass and gave everyone crap for everything. He was Australian, and I knew he was Australian, but I called him British just to make him even more angry than he already was.

We still won but this guy was just terrible in attitude. He was not bad enough to hinder a win. Everyone else on the team was going 4v5 and ace'ing. It was awesome.

Devourer, Deadwood and Swiftblade are some heroes that pound noobs real hard.
You should also watch out for invis heroes, new players usually have trouble fighting those too.

i like the starting item guide in the new buy menu, it helps when i'm trying out heroes i dont play often

i also think that the new buy menu has gotten me more used to hotkey buying so i can get that big fucking mess out of my face as fast as i can
