Played a game with Namaste as Engi earlier, me as Martyr, enemy team had all agi and dominated the first few team fights, mostly because our Slither kept jungling instead of helping, but once we were all there we did awesome.

Slither comes up to top and starts trying to steal my last hits, then jungles when I go mid and a fight starts. Blames me and says I shouldn't have tried to steal his farm.

There ARE heroes who are better than others at carrying but there's no denying that almost any hero can carry if given enough farm (some heroes are better than others with the same items) but you can't say that Chipper can not carry.
I've seen Pebbles carry games to victory (gank early/mid-game hard) and by having huge gold advantage is able to carry the team to victory (the same can be applied to Chipper).
It's by no means ideal, but at pub level it can work surprisingly well (I usually play as a carry when I'm playing Hellbringer/Succubus, does that make me dumb...no).

I once played him and I couldn't kill anyone with him, I was 1v1 Glacius and he kept dodging my FUCKING slow rockets even tho he was like right next to me, they deal horrendous damage anyway.
The Tar takes an eternity to land and when I toss it at someone they just dodge it like nothing fucking happened.
The Magic Damage absorption is good but it doesn't counter Spell Stuns so it's useless, they just stun me and focus me down with Physical Attacks and there is nothing I can do and I die.
The ultimate is probably the best of his skills because it can kill waves of creeps really easily, killing heroes with it is just wasting it, they can move out of the saws and nothing happens to them.
Altogether Chipper is a retarded hero, his spells need extreme luck to hit and the enemy hero must be retarded and stay at a place for 10 seconds until Chipper kills him. Deadwood has the same role as the Chipper but he does it 50x times better even tho he is hard to master, the roots are kinda hard to time right but altogether Deadwood > Chipper.[/QUOTE]
Chipper is a hero composed of 3 skill shots that require precise comboing to be effective. Rockets deal 540 magic damage if you hit all 3. A 180 nuke + 0.1 second stun on a very short cooldown with massive range seems fair to me. If you can't land rockets, then you'd probably hate heroes like valk, devo, glad, gaunt etc. Tar Toss slows for 80% if you can land it and only has a small delay if you can hit the rockets after (and why couldn't you they are basically dropped to a crawl) adds a nice dot. Ulti deals weak nuke instantly, and quite a strong dot if they stay in it, so it's better if you use to to cut off paths, in choke points or if you predict where they are going. Plus staff of the master gives it a 70% snare. All his moves have quite low cooldowns which means he's always equipped for those team battles as long as he has the mana. It seems the main reason you don't realize chipper's true potential is because, and I hate to say this but, you're bad.
Yeah but Moving counters Chipper and every fucking hero can do that so he is useless.
If moving counters spells that aren't targeted, then apparently the large majority of heroes have useless spells. It's not as if all his skillshots have a 1 radius large hitbox against a team of heroes who move at haste speed and also have a 1 radius large hitbox. Chipper only requires a tad of prediction, like landing a pyro stun (compare it's cast time is 1.4 seconds compared to chipper's tar toss' instant cast time with a delay of 1 second). When fighting people can move quite predictably, if you aren't confident in your rocket landing skills, you could always spray them in a fan like fashion as he does get 3 charges. Don't call a hero shit just because you aren't good with him, just don't play him. I'm sure you can watch a replay or a youtube of chipper being played properly.
Maybe if the whole team would just stand at one spot and do nothing for 10 minutes, then maybe Chipper would at least kill someone.
Chipper is extremely easy to counter and that's why he is a shit hero.
By no means am I saying Chipper can easily kill an entire team by himself, might be able to kill a squishy support before dying in a 1 v 5 scenario, but you fail to realize that Heroes of Newerth is a Team based game. Coupled with a stun, slow or immobilize from a friendly hero and hitting all of his moves becomes a breeze, even if you have horrible prediction skills (if you do, maybe you should practice a bit more since you are playing a game where a lot of heroes require prediction), easily dealing a shit tonne of damage.

chipper is by no means useless, he is an amazing nuker. his rockets are very easy to aim if you can predict movements, which is the same way heroes like devourer and valk hit their skill shots. his ulti is very situational to get the most damage, but the easiest way to get the most damage out of it is to slow them with tar toss before hand (it's there for a reason)

So I played a few as Gladiator. Fun character, especially after you understand his ultie.
Third game I was playing with a Polly and he was a fucking bro. Didn't KS, let me farm, got huge creep farm. At one point it was just him and Sand Wraith top and me on my way. As soon as I get there he tongue ties, I lay down a spike pit and hit my Assassins Shroud. In all chat Sand Wraith types "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" because he knew what was coming. :v: Practically one shot him from half HP with the hit out of AS.

Lol.. we had this one foreign guy, a funny guy, and a trolling girl. It was one of the most fun games I've ever played.
One other time I played with a drunk guy, it was amazing.
The one game I had a girl in, she was playing Pyro and kept killing trees with his stun for fun. One guy on our team kept asking for her to speak on microphone and made her sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

So I played a game of Parasite for kicks.
He is really...interesting. I feel like he can stay in teamfights longer than someone like Deadwood or Pebbles, who is kinda "in, blam, out, gone". I had a ton of fun jungling him.
The new item changes are really good, especially the Shieldbreaker and the new Energizer.
Sneaky new skin, huh.
