Not only is it less powerful but harder to aim as well. I remember fondly sneaking some 400m behind a [i]hostile[/i] 2 man Freedom patrol, rubbing against the rear guard,swinging wildly with my blade but couldn't land any successful hits even though I was certain at least one of them would connect. It was so shameful... Thank goodness the patrol failed to notice me because that would've been a really embarrassing encounter :doh: .

Wish me luck.[/QUOTE] As someone pointed out to me, do NOT loot everything in sight, money will be plentiful enough and you'll come across all the ammo you will need on bodies. Also, when you get to Garbage go in the tunnel next to warehouse, (it has train tracks going into it.) Dodge the bloop bloops and you'll come across a custom Viper next to a body which takes 9x18 ammo, which is very plentiful early on.

Thanks for the tip![/QUOTE] Also, I suggest you not to wander around places like Agroprom or Wild Territory during the night, and if you're too afraid of the dark or don't have night vision goggles you should stay around in places like Bar and Cordon's Rookie Village. The Garbage also has the Duty outpost and the Hangar, but those are usually under attack.

Is there something I'm missing?

It's only really in CoP that the Zone is more mutant-y at night.

I usually run into more pseudodogs and bloodsuckers at night than at day. Other than that it's more or less the same, but it could be deadly for a rookie.
