I was exploring the agroprom underground going to get Strelok's flash-drive, once I grabbed it my screen started throbbing and I heard men shooting and groaning, I expected zombies. Turns out a controller got stuck in the pipe, poor guy must've tried resting in Strelok's stash.

Well, I eventually did it, and it's a good mod. But there's one thing I'm not enjoying

Why the hell would I want The Zone to be green? It's a motherfucking radioactive semi post apocalyptic land!
It's not like everything in the 30km radius was destroyed.
No, but the green fails the atmosphere completely as then you'd expect other natural things to survive as well, but there's no birds or squirrels or anything

Yeah, despite the reality of the Chernobyl area being overgrown with plants being they are more resistant to radiation than animals, it ruins everything if it's not completely scorched and ruined.
Also the anomalies man, how could plants grow normal when occasionally an anomaly rips it to shreds. I'm surprised there are still trees.

There's not anomalies [I]everywhere[/I], but they do usually tear up the surroundings when they spawn.

They move around and relatively frequently apparently. They're bound to hit most places at least once every few weeks.

True, but then again the real place hasn't been designed to have a postapocalyptic atmosphere
Eh, I like the overgrown places and whatnot. I'd hate it if it was scorched earth and all grimderpy by design. In fact, I'd like it to be a little more overgrown with trees everywhere and long grass covering certain areas. The flowers in some mods make the Zone a bit too cheery though.

But I guess maybe a squirrel or two running about sometimes wouldn't be bad. At least it would drive home that not [i]everything[/i] is out there to kill you even if it [b]is[/b] the Zone we're talking about.
Kind of like in ARMA II when you're lying on the ground, looking through the scope of a SVD, squirrels and rabbits occasionally run through your field of vision and it's kind of nice.

Well, they aren't any more "mutants" than the birds living in the "real life" Exclusion Zone. It also says in the lore that Crows are the only kind of bird that can survive there so I guess they'll remain the only birds.
The occasional bear would be pants-shittingly great though. Imagine going through Red Forest when suddenly a bear rushes from the woods and mauls you to pieces.
