So about The Elephant's Foot. Molten fissile materials are HIGHLY radioactive. Lots of gamma radiation being emitted by them
It's on the first tunnel you enter in the game, in the room before that one long certain tunnel with the ladder to outside at the end. [editline]31st May 2011[/editline] Also fuck you Eurostalker you piece of shit what do you mean the email or password I certainly know exists and write correctly aren't right?
If you want to experience lethal levels of frustration, try registering on a Russian site. At least Ya-stalker. Stumbled on a post by Oleg Yavorsky about Monolith Whisper and Southern Comfort. About the latter, he wrote that it will be about "brave American special forces". Damn. The book is not even remotely about such BS. Spent two days containing the collateral damage because it appeared in several Russian threads. Russians are not the target group... but still frustrating.
I'm going to stream TFW later today, gonna try and maybe side with the bandits.
Are there any mods that fix the damage system of CS? I was extremely angry when a whole magazine of regular 5.56 bullets didn't take down a bandit

I worked around it by upgrading to maximum accuracy and popped heads all day erry day then got frustrated how buggy the sights were.

They've probably been extremely dissapointed with all the nonsensical fanfiction-esque official books, anways. Also thread medkit, so it doesn't go down another page. ST2 is boring, I already played LURK, SMP crashes all the time, Priboi has Wish Granter in The Garbage, People Soup is confusing, I've already played AMK:SE, and Doom's Mod kind of has a weird start to it.

Fifty per cent is happy that "their" Zone keeps people inspiring around the world, the other fifty percent thinks that only Russians can understand the Zone and the rest of the world is plain stupid. Typical comment: "now the Negros will make stalker stuff? oh no." They can be strange, them Russians. Guess you've tried Oblivion Lost and Complete already. There's SoC 2009 too, but it's just an eye candy.
I was about 1/4 of the way through Shadow of Chernobyl when I buggered up my PC and did a reformat, forgot to keep my saves for it though. Should I go through quite a bit of gameplay again, or just start on one of the other games?

I don't think it's too big of a deal to replay the start over again. Plus, you might discover things you haven't already seen.
You could play through SoC at least twenty times. Restarting from a bit in is nothing, believe me.
My deciding point on whenever or not I'll continue playing is after getting Agroprom documents. I just can't amass the will to go on if it's not a great mod.
Why is the vss so common in clearsky? I thought it was reserved for the elite, the tough. Instead I see loners die every day to sawnoff bandits with it, what the fuck?
Why is the vss so common in clearsky? I thought it was reserved for the elite, the tough. It's pretty comical that you can get your first VSS at the Cordon already : I remember taking shelter from a blowout at the rookie base and there were dead dudes and two VSS rifles lying on the ground. Also, the Cordon-Garbage changer tends to have a lot of dead bodies and good loot there.
You can get your first VSS at the swamps, actually
Yeah, but it's condition is zero =/.

I remember CoP's VSS was kind of disappointing.
I think it's because you could upgrade other weapons to a much better degree, making the VSS obsolete against some other modified assault rifles.
I think it's because you could upgrade other weapons to a much better degree, making the VSS obsolete against some other modified assault rifles.
No, I meant in general. The sound, the damage, the bullet drop, and the simple fact that it used a tracer round. That kind of defeated the purpose of the in-built suppressor.
I wish they'd make a civilian version of a Vintorez rifle.
I think it's because you could upgrade other weapons to a much better degree, making the VSS obsolete against some other modified assault rifles.
I think it's because there aren't enough human targets to use it on in Call of Pripyat and it feels like a cheatmode rifle when you finally get to using it on human targets :eng99: . e: I use the VAL in CoP because you can ironsight mutants quickly if need be. At least in Clear Sky you kinda needed it at Limansk because of all the Monolith snipers.
Why is the vss so common in clearsky? Instead I see loners die every day to sawnoff bandits with it, what the fuck?
I forgot to add : It bothers me a lot that I have never seen the military really wield the best tier soviet weapons. How can the Loners regularly wield VSS rifles while the army is basically limited to carbines and assault rifles, with 1-2 PKMs. Similarly, they never carry sniper rifles like the SVU or SVD either...
first pseudogiant
I remember just chucking every explosive item I had at it and it croaked. But not before I shot my remaining 100+ 5.45 ammo on it and saw that it didn't do diddly to it.
I just met my first pseudogiant. He took 200 or more bullets to kill. What kind of monster was I dealing with? Jesus fuck.
I just met my first pseudogiant. He took 200 or more bullets to kill. What kind of monster was I dealing with? Jesus fuck.
In Cop [sp]in the SIXTY-TWOOOOO facility[/sp] the pseudogiant was just annoying as fuck. Really 300 bullets and a few knifings and it was dead, what a fucking waste.
I remember when I first encountered it. 300 5.45 and 200 12x70 bullets went into that damn thing and it barely died. When it was over I started shouting and jumping around it's corpse while knifing it.
Looks like I couldn't get streaming this night either. I'll get to it someday, though dnf demo is soon.
Looks like I couldn't get streaming this night either. I'll get to it someday, though dnf demo is soon.
Did you manage to merge TFW and Reloaded? And if so, could you tell me how to do it (if it requires some advanced dabblin' with game files) ?
I shot it with a couple of nades and some 4 or 5 sniper shots, but damn, that bastard was annoying. He didn't even do anything fun, he just stomped around. He didn't climb stairs like any other mutant, hell, he could at least grab shit from the ground and throw it at you. [sp]Also, I killed Noah :smith: I was just curious if he had another Compass. I shat my pants when he took a shot at me [/sp]

Seriously, I remember I was playing Pripyatan and emptied 120 rounds of bullets [sp]in his leg :V[/sp] from my SAKO TRG-42. I crouched outside the ship and just kept shooting him when he popped in my scope.
Strange, first time I played CoP I shot him in the face a bunch of times with my Spas and he went down. Maybe shooting in the head is still lethal? [editline]2nd June 2011[/editline] I only did it because he shot at me and I thought he was hostile. If I knew he wasn't I wouldn't have done it.
