what are bloop bloops?
Do the patched exe's and King's Optimized Shaders work with STALKER Complete? And what's the best modification in your opinion?
Finally got to the bar after getting buttfucked by a pack of dogs right outside the bar area limits (by the fence when you first enter the area). Now they are talking about zombie's :ohdear: Also:
dear god those textures
dear god those textures
Yeah I know. I can run some games on max settings and some won't even start with my specs. Such is life on a shitty laptop. *Dem Graphix*
Holden since I see you're viewing this thread... how's the next version of LURK going?
5 year old PC master race! :arghfist::saddowns:
You just made me feel completely better about my shitty computer, I think you lifted even its spirit.
Your welcome. It actually runs Call of Pripyat on med-high at around 25-30 fps. :suicide:
dear god those textures
Running STALKER on low with static lighting makes me think of the old alpha versions, Adds a bit of a atmospheric nostalgic feeling.
Your welcome. It actually runs Call of Pripyat on med-high at around 25-30 fps. :suicide:
Mine's the same way in that it runs CoP with full dynamic lighting on better than it runs ShoC with object dynamic lighting.
Mine doesn't run CoP at all :v:
Do the patched exe's and King's Optimized Shaders work with STALKER Complete? And what's the best modification in your opinion?
Patched exe's should work for all mods. The shaders should work with 95% of mods. STALKER Complete (lol) uses the ancient unoptimised basis of which my shaders spawned from, so yes, it will work.

eh its ok i just forgot what it looked like i used to run it that low
I played through SoC four times with it that low, ~20 fps, not even a flashlight. :ussr:
when i first had stalker, i played on an 8600gt, single core @ 1.9ghz, 2gb ram, tiny ass screen i kno ur payne bro
for the third time, what are bloop bloops?
when i first had stalker, i played on an 8600gt, single core @ 1.9ghz, 2gb ram, tiny ass screen i kno ur payne bro
Nope. Mobile x600 128 MB, 1 gig of RAM, mobile single core 4000+ at 1.6 ghz, 1024x768. I then moved on to a 8500GT, 6000+ and 2 gigs of RAM at 1440x900. Ran SoC for the first time on max, my jaw fall off. (It's funny because later that year I played Crysis at 15 FPS on all low at 800x600)
for the third time, what are bloop bloops?
Anomalies
Flashlight? What is this flashlight? All I have is a whitish sprite that I can put wherever I am looking. It illuminates nothing and just looks silly when I put it over people's faces.
Actually I think I only had 1gb ram, and a shitty inboard gpu.

[editline]18th May 2011[/editline] Also, I've decided to ditch both LURK and Super Mod Pack and simply use Oblivion Lost. I've been enjoying it so far, great mod.
I only just recently upgraded from and Pentium D 2.8 Ghz 2GB Ram and an 8600gt. Boy, 6 years is a long time. Now my computer can run CoP on highest settings, though I just keep it at FDL dx10 and keep a few settings such as hbao or whatever off.
I'm confused as to what files I need for People's soup, I feel like trying it but I don't know what to download.
What I love about DirectX 11 in general is that it runs faster than DirectX 10 and looks better
DX11 will only do so much for the consumer. There are far more improvements in the API that only benefit the developer, which is why DX10 was great while not so popular with consumers. What will make S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 much better looking is the quality of the assets that the artist's make. Right now, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. doesn't look too good because of poor character/object modeling & texturing. Also, I'm very fed up with how tesselation is being marketed and how the tech is being used incorrectly. The same thing happened when pixel shaders were introduced, that is, until John Carmack came around and showed everyone how to use them. Currently, tesselation is just being used to generically improve character models and that is all. It should be used so artist's can create more simple, coarse models that can later be subdivided and given more geometric detail with a height map texture. This ultimately saves space on the disk because the coarse model is the only thing actually there, the detail is created at run-time. It also saves a lot of time for the artist's because creating a coarse model is much easier. It should also be used on terrain surfaces to increase detail in the foreground while being able to remove more detail than normal in the background without the "popping" effect.
Wouldn't there be a problem for those not running DX11, as they'll be left with the coarse models?
I never understood anything about how the versions of DX11/10 are different. :smith:
