Also looking into Metro - Last Light, it says it has multiplayer.
Assuming this want's to be a triple A title like the first, this won't be like Stalkers multiplayer.
So what do you guys think it will be like?
A large free moving area like in battle field?
Perhaps using a rank system, or specifically placed weapons like in Killzone or Halo? Personally I think it'll have a completely irrelevant rank system with killzone style weapon placements and focus on objective modes like escorting a cart or something.
Apparently it's going to be co-op.
Apparently it's going to be co-op.
Oh god. Hope the yogcast does a let's play of it then, that would be interesting.

-snip- Metro 2033 has an actual book sequel... hm.
What do you guy's think the plot will be about, I mean now that the dark ones have been delt with, what mystery/ challenge would remain besides rebuilding humanity [sp](good ending, means they have the next evolution of mankind on their side...)[/sp]
Metro 2034
No, Really? I would have never guessed reading the games steam store page...
Read the book and then imagine how to rape the original story

-snip- Same as above.
Metro 2034 hasn't been translated to English yet.

Has it?

lol I'd say get out but I won't. It's metro 2033 and yes it has been.
I did not realise their was a sequel, everything relating to the plot of metro 2034 in my posts is irrelevant. I apologise.
Last Light is not based on Metro 2034, it's a new, original story. Apparently people are fighting for control over powerful weapons (probably the missiles in D6 etc) and you have to stop everything going to shit.

Oh
so no more raping the original story
just adding own stuff
interesting
Why are you playing with a mod the first time :(
Well I heard it doesn't change the core experience and mainly enhances the graphics and stuff, while also fixing some leftover bugs, so I just went for it.
Always play without mods the first time :( :(
Always play without mods the first time :( :(
But if the only thing it does is enhance the experience while not changing it why shouldn't I play with said mod :(

Because you won't know how the experience is enhanced, and you'll have nothing to compare with. How can you know if something's improved if you never experienced the original?

Best nonimplemented faction.
Love me some ISG.
60fps maxed DX11 in Metro 2033, 30-40fps maxed DX11 in Call of Pripyat. Most likely due to dynamic AI and open world.
What build?

Well you have a point but I can't bother restarting already after getting this far into it, I'll probably watch an LP of the vanilla game afterwards or play it myself.
I know to stray from using the fast travel function though which apparently wasn't in the vanilla game.

Don't play after using complete 09, it's to late now. You've been intergrated. From now on you will only notice the glitches and the lack of specific features.

Here's a good LP of the original game. The quality of the first few videos is shit but it'll get a lot better from episode 4-5 onwards.

Intel E8200
Nvidia GTX 460 1GB
Corsair 4GB DD2 800MHz
Metro 2033 runs much faster than Call of Pripyat maxed.
Oh gee i haven't checked the STALKER megathreads since February which i hope i haven't missed something good. :smith:
Okie dokie, i forgot the trick of getting the bar music back on LURK 1.1. Is it something with editing one of the either Config or Script files in order to re-enable it?
Whilst nothing is apparently happening - here's two photoshops I did of an anomaly and an artifact from one of my fan-fics.
Artifact

Interesting, unless your CPU is making a massive difference with the performance, there's something wrong on my end. Metro 2033 on dx9 max settings runs 25-35 FPS at 1920x1080 no AA.
no, K1ngo is just a lucky wizard who runs every game great
AMD Phenom II 940
ATI HD 5850 1gb

The book is confusing sometimes, the enemies change constantly and the original motive seems to disappear every once in a while.
Yeah, the author goes off-track a bit, but I thought it was a really good read.
