I'm in Rural England and I get 1-400kb/s depending on where I'm downloading from.

...Sydney. I gotta find a proper job so that I can move out of my parents house and try and take control of the internet situation myself - my friends do get way better speeds than me, it's just my parents are a bit archaic and don't believe fast internet is a necessity.

Okay I'm gonna write a quick log of the shittiness I've been experiencing in SHoc/LURK currently...

7 PM - Okay time to play stalker! Wait first I'll make a quick edit to a cool pic I took yesterday.

7:30 - Hm, some guy seems obsessed with the file type of my screenshot.

7:35 - Okay I'm in... okay so my game crashed. Rinse and repeat, again, and again and again. God damnit.

8 - Load a quick save. Hm the picture shows the bar but it's actually the garbage, wtf?

8:15 - Okay moving on and... dogs. 3 fucking packs. PISS OFF YOU YAPPING MUTANT MUTTS!

8:30 - Okay, so I'm finally in the Dark Valley. I'm really starting to like the TOZ, it kicks ass. I meet a guy called bullet - classy.

8:35 - Hm, waiting for to ambush some scum of the zone and... lead by a duty member? WTF? Start firing at the bandits, and the duty soldier just runs off, but the game registers him as neutral. I'm pretty damn confused right now.

8:40 - In the bandit camp with bullet, pretty easy, just blowing away at these idiots with my fancy shotgun. Oh wait, where'd bullet go? I hear him yelling outside, but I still have to check the very top floor! Heading up I find a rocket launcher... and my guy can't carry it. God damnit. Heading back down I hear gunfire and suddenly bullets vanished. Looking in the basement I shoot another bandit, but I'm unable to find bullet or his body, he must have run into an anomaly or something...

8:45 - Sucessfully snuck into the base and... promptly got spotted by a guy in the main building, and of course all I have in my inventory are two shotguns and an automatic pistol... fire fight ensues and after kiling 30 or so enemies with my shotgun I'm starting to regret not bringing a long range weapon...

9:30 - My internet cuts out so I can't ask for advice, plus even though all I have is 10 health kits, 10 bandages, 100 buck shot rounds, 100 19x18 rounds and 30 slugs, two shotguns, my pernach and a bandit jacket and my guy seems to be quickly reaching the overweight limit. I fear the endgame... [B]( shortened is 3 weapons, a coat, 230 ammo and 20 healing items.)[/B]

10 - School tomorrow so I have to stop. I absolutely dread heading into lab X18 if just the bandits are like this...

It's a shitty mod consisting of tons of useless mods making it a bloated extremely crappy mod which I had the unfortune to try.
It also requires 8 GB of RAM.

Order should go - Vanilla, Lurk/Complete (depending whether you want realism and difficulty or prettiness) and then people soup if your ram can support it.

Depends on what you want
no mods on first playthrough, if you just want vanilla but fancier graphics and bugfixes, try Complete.
if you want nice weapon ballistics, lots of new weapons and very fancy graphics, LURK

Also,goddamn zombies : they're harder to kill in Clear Sky than any other S.T.A.L.K.E.R game. I like how they actually take cover behind obstacles and crouch instead of being completely brainless morons.
But goddamnit, I saw one take 8 aimed shots to the upper torso from a TOZ-34 and dozen 9x18 rounds.

The Faction Wars for Clear Sky. All of the maps from Clear Sky are available for an all-out faction war with the goal to conquer the entire Zone for your faction (I'm playing as Mercs currently, will probably reconsider after downloading the new version).

Also the zombie issue : Yes, they had their brains fried but they haven't still lost all their skills they had before the zombification. That's why they can reload and fire weapons and occasionally huddle around a campfire for warmth.
I don't want them to be tactical spetsnatz operators but they should occasionally seek cover and try to flank the player like they do in Clear Sky and ShoC. Most of the time they of course mostly lumber towards you guns blazing like they should but it's nice that even zombies posses some level of self-preservation.
