I can tell you the top velocity for ragdolls is around 5m/s, but that's obviously not near the velocity for bullets.
awesome. Now I just need fall damage per metre and rupture damage to compare it to and I can work out the necessary velocity to break the force barrier of a gravi artifact. [editline]7th June 2011[/editline] [Release]Guass Gun Alright so to start we need to make several assumptions, make some new rules and agknowledge some of the games explainations. (This is all based on SHoC canon instead of the newer games.) Assumptions Flash Artifact: -The flash artifact is stated as a component of the gauss gun -The flash artifact of course reduces the players resistance to electricity, so we can assume it increases the power of an electrical charge -The flash artifact also increases players stamina, so assuming this is an electrical artifact we can make the assumption that electrical artifacts boosts the speed of the human heart rate through a constant electrical charge. Gravi: -The Gravi Artifact protects agains puncture wounds, but not bullet or impact wounds. We can assume from this that the gravi artifact only blocks forces under a certain velocity. (I will work this out later when I find the terminal velocity in stalker and how much health you lose per 1 meter of falling.) -Gravi is also formed from a metal, so we can assume it melts, and is thus formable. With these assumptions we can form the premise of the Gauss gun. The Guass gun in stalker is actually a coilgun, which uses electromagnetic coils to propel a magnet along a course. Using these assumptions we can create the coils along the gauss rifle. 1. Lead outer casing to prevent radiation leakage 2. Flash artifact dust/shards 3. Reformed Gravi barrier 4. Niobium-titanium wiring 5. Coiled Niobium-Titanium wiring (Electromagnet) With this we have an acceleration method for our projectile. 1. Tungsten Carbide Shell 2. Neoddymium 2mm interior ferromagnetic bullet 3. Battery and flash dust mix With this we have a extremely heat resistant cover with an incredibly powerful magnetic interior. The chamber in the back containing the artifact dust helps collect excess energy emitted by the coils which prevents coils retaining a magnetic charge and slowing the acceleration of the projectile. So now we just need the electrical pulse that starts the whole system. 1. 2mm projectile output 2. energy out 3. connector 4. Battery artifact charged by a large concentration of flash artifact dust over a period of time. 5. energy in So, this has a large built up electrical charge, with projectiles being pushed into place, ready to be fired. When the trigger is pulled, a generic battery sends a small electrical pulse along a wire to the main battery, which then outputs the entire charge, along to the main wire, where the effect is compounded and powers each coil, pushing the projectile along the barrel and out the breach. Annnddd that's the Guass gun in a nutshell. Should cost roughly 30,000 rubles to construct according to the prices of the materials used without taking the cost of hiring others to construct it. (Tungsten projectiles would be a bit difficult to make in the zone seeing as it requires effectively a industrial forge and welding torches to heat to melting point.) And that's pseudoscience spouted by a 15 year old! [/release] How is this late? I spent hours on this :(
What the fuck I found a bloodsucker near the starting area, how the fuck did it get here
What the fuck I found a bloodsucker near the starting area, how the fuck did it get here
A-life mate, the enemies roam regardless to if they're in the same area as you. They're not scripted...
What the fuck I found a bloodsucker near the starting area, how the fuck did it get here
The game will slightly ramp up the A-Life after you progress in the game somewhat.
That can't be right.
Oh it was. OL on Master is silly sometimes, especially when those fucking cats can take a buckshot in the face and still give you a cute little claw with rabies :3:
Oh it was. OL on Master is silly sometimes, especially when those fucking cats can take a buckshot in the face and still give you a cute little claw with rabies :3:
I'm having the same problem with lurk, these muties just won't go down...
Also, nice sheet of the Gauss, GWTN. I'll get it printed as a poster and put it on my wall.
Also, nice sheet of the Gauss, GWTN. I'll get it printed as a poster and put it on my wall.
lol I hope your joking...
lol I hope your joking...
Naw, i'm not. I just got some pay, I spend it however the fuck I want. And I'm going to spend a portion of it in this. Not the best job possible, but complicated enough to keep anyone non-stalker confused.
-snip- internet arguments are not relevant to stalker. Anyone involved including myself should feel petty.-
You got a problem sarif? You seem to be very negative towards everything I post. Explanation at least please?
How can you know? He hasn't even posted in a while. Also, time to go to one of my favourite locations in all of SoC, Lake Yantar. BRB.
He's rated all my content negativly. His motivation remains unknown...
bullshit, show me links to those comments, you're highly paranoid [editline]7th June 2011[/editline] I like how your second comment on this page is actually rated positive and you start a fight over nothing
Hey bros, anything new in this neck of the woods?

Not a whole lot probably going to go through most of this soon I have to go at the moment.
Not a whole lot probably going to go through most of this soon I have to go at the moment.
Well theres a clip of some of the guy's playing multiplayer, uh some pics and I wrote a piece on how the gauss rifle would function...
I'm not picking a fight, I just feel theres a very negative vibe your giving off in my direction. [editline]8th June 2011[/editline] How much have you read?
You actually spent time to put a picture series together about me giving you 1x neutral, 1x negative and 1x positive rating? Geez, what is it that you think this is personal? So... you know how when you're walking by a group of people, and you hear them laughing, you get some paranoid feeling that they are actually laughing about you, when they're really not? Leave me out of your conspiracies, please... this is not normal.
-snip- internet arguments are not relevant to stalker. Anyone involved including myself should feel petty. I was trying to analyse the situation and understand your motivation, not pick a fight. Don't go looking for fights and I will have to remember not to retaliate.
The game will slightly ramp up the A-Life after you progress in the game somewhat.
Well damn that has me quite terrified now, just encountered another one near where I killed the last one.
Well damn that has me quite terrified now, just encountered another one near where I killed the last one.
Yea man that's how I got scared out of playing this game the third time round. Didn't know it wasn't scripted and ran right into a pair of the tentacle mouthed buggers in wild territory. Nearly pissed myself.
You're gonna have a hell of a time later on in Army Warehouses.
I've finished the game, this is my 5th long session of playing. [editline]8th June 2011[/editline] Also I forgot a lot of the stuff in my example, including why there's gravis and I'll see if I can get a full model going, and I'll make a PDF as well as redo the diagrams in colour, add pictures ect. Let's see if I can bring this up to par!
I was once attacked by three Chimeras near The Barrier. I'm actually suprised how well does the Moist Nugget work against them in AMK:SE. [editline]7th June 2011[/editline] I should totally make a machinima of that, called "1clip 3chimeras" :v:
What's up with chimeras being able to jump fifty feet in AMK? They have a lot smaller jump distance in CoP, I think. Also thread medkit.
That's because you are comparing AMK and CoP
But AMK:SE is fairly easy except the fact that the chimeras jump so far. I encountered one in the garbage and it pounced me just as I was about to aim down my sniper scope since it was too far away for a headshot from a regular assault rifle.
That's pretty much what I'm saying, mods usually don't have any kind of quality control, unless they're very well worked through, like Redux or Lurk for example. Not that strange when there's fifteen people working on a single mod that things might get a bit unbalanced.
Last week during my finals I decided to start up a save of Shadow of Chernobyl on my laptop to pass the time in between exams. It's been six days, and I decided to check my statistics while looking at my rank earlier today... 16,142 stalkers killed in six days. No mods. No hacks. No regrets.
That's sadly not how many stalkers you've killed but more of a score for what each kill was worth.
