Reminds me that I had a dream about STALKER a couple days ago, too. So some veteran stalkers dressed up in SEVA and SSP suits were called into the Cordon. Sidorovich got out of the bunker and said that the rookies saw a truck crashing near the village, with some red liquid, probably blood, pouring out of it. The truck was apparently dragged to the Army Base, so one of the stalkers(who didn't have a curtain helmet) decided to go there and take a look. So he sneaked through the place and got to a garage the thing was in, and sees a big red stain below it. He looked into the truck's rear and made a jaw dropping expression. Then I woke up. Later on I just imagined that he found a ton of porn and tomato sauce that spilled out of the truck, since that would probably happen in the dream. :v:

I never dream about Stalker and that makes me happy. :geno:

What is the game about anyway? Is there a linear storyline or do you just... hunt monsters?

You're about to take the first steps in the most compelling game universe ever. Okay, if it's immersion you're after you can get it elsewhere too. The zone calls me once more... Someone recommend me a difficult ~realistic~ clear sky mod like Thornys [b]REDUX[/b] [editline]8th June 2011[/editline] or just one that adds more artifacts

The game has a RPG-like story and progression system where you pick up jobs from certain characters that you meet. Some are small jobs like "kill the monsters at location X", other quests are bigger and more relevant to advancing the plot and opening up new ares to explore.

Yantar is a nice place. Lots of loots and snorks. I love being there during a blowout, when you hear all the zombies and snorks howling outside. Great atmosphere.
