and now sokhalov is constantly saying HELLO HELLO and these footsteps are insane goddamn what is hAPPENING
You got psi-fucked. Should have taken the Yantar Factory warnings seriously.
Damn US peeps adding themselves everywhere.
SC just got itself another minor character. It will be a Swiss stalker who dies horribly by walking into a Cheese Fondue anomaly. :)
He's watching me beat the pole! :suicide:
Is there a mod that gives ou your own faction? Yo could design the uniform, and the logo. Recruit troops and wage combat. Order troops through the radio. would be pretty banging
Speaking of non-Ukrainian stalkers, how many of them are in the book, and of which nationality?
So far, an Argentinian, a Canadian, a British and a South African are confirmed. They're actually cameos of actual STALKER fans who contributed to the project. Maybe we can parachute in a Croatian as well :) That is, apart from a few non-Ukrainian NPC's who appear in the book too, like Ashot who is - judged by his name and original voice acting - the caricature of an Armenian black market trader.
Parachute me in as a fashion-designing ~artiste~ please!
Parachute me in as a fashion-designing ~artiste~ please!
Sure - if you design a stalker suit for all SC team members (about a dozen) :))
This thread reminded me of all the nasty bits of people and mutants at Yantar.
Sure - if you design a stalker suit for all SC team members (about a dozen) :))
Ah you aren't in on the joke, my bad - 'fashion design' is the Russian translation of Mod Making.
Ah you aren't in on the joke, my bad - 'fashion design' is the Russian translation of Mod Making.
Such is life in the Zone. But then - imagine a former fashion designer who moves to the Zone to design special suits. Wouldn't that be cool? They are missing from the game anyway, with only weapons experts available.
I would be content with that, as long as he isn't a really camp guy.
I would be content with that, as long as he isn't a really camp guy.
I'll ask the writer when he re-appears on my radar. Haven't heard of him and the proofreader for a couple of days, probably they are throwing things at each other like usually.
Another artwork by Noah Stacey for "Southern Comfort" - here comes the Tribe, a new faction made up from renegade Marines.
The helmet looks strongly like you found a gasmask soldier picture on deviantart and wrote on it with MSpaint.
The helmet looks strongly like you found a gasmask soldier picture on deviantart and wrote on it with MSpaint.
No argument about that. The writing on the helmet could be much better. Pimped it already, this was the first version.
So wait, I haven't visited this thread in a while, what is Southern Comfort? From what I gather, some sort of fan fic?
It's a licensed STALKER book. [editline]8th June 2011[/editline] But made by fans.
Ah, I see. Do we have any idea where in the timeline it's meant to take place?
Ah, I see. Do we have any idea where in the timeline it's meant to take place?
Three years after COP. For more info: www.stalkersoutherncomfort.com It's in the final stages of proofreading and the creatives are designing the book cover now. As to the release date - if you go to holiday in August, probably you can read it on the airplane. It will be both a physical and an e-book.

I have a giftcard to spend.
It will be at Amazon.
It will be at Amazon.
:smugissar: I hate Amazon.
:smugissar: I hate Amazon.
What's wrong with Amazon? I like them because they're one of the few god damn places that ship to Australia. Well, some products at least
The book's description makes it seem like it will be shit.
Nah, I think it will be very nice. It's good to have a bit of change in location and characters and all that.
I sent some feedback about the book and he clarified some stuff. It sounds very impressive. I'm definitly gonna buy it.
so how about them bloop bloops
What?
