lol my brother just described a part of his experience of stalker vanilla.
- He's walking through the garbage and a couple of stalkers are following him for some reason? He spots some anomalies and triggers an anomaly, jumping over it. Then he turns around to check on the stalkers, who didn't follow him. Glad the AI in this game isn't completely retarded he grabs the artifact and turns around, to hear a *FWOOP* noise and see the stalkers explode into gore. Then suddenly the anomaly grabs him too and he gets killed. lol.

I know I've been talking about it for 3 days straight but haven't got around to actually playing it.
Like old veterans we need not regularly engage in the experience for it to have a constant effect on us. We are Stalkers, the experience of the Zone has changed us all, we carry it with us always. Better or worse for it, we can always commune with those who have shared it and reminisce over it.

The latest (2.9) version of the Fraction War mod makes Clear Sky a pleasure to play. It also has Atmosfear. Okay, maybe I'm different and strange but I like CS anyway.
