Oh yeah I meant a walk in the park in terms of atmosphere, not rage-inducing difficulty :P
God damn, one of the main switches in the network belonging to my company is named Agroprom.
That's because Agroprom is a fucking awesome word.
If I'm ever gonna have a company I'm gonna call it Agroprom.
It's so damn overused.
Clear Sky is a walk in the park compared to SoC.
Er, I thought the first area was pretty brutal. Until I got some decent armor in that game I just quicksaved like a motherfucker.
Swamps in CS with newbie gear is probably one of the most awesome experiences EDIT: I seem to have this obsession with early-game Stalking, like running around the garbage with just a bandit jacket, an AK74U and some food. Towards the end the game gets a bit boring for me after I acquired all the best equipment. Anyone feel the same?
Damn I had just [sp]helped freedom defend against the monolith[/sp] in SoC, but then I upgraded to W7 and forgot to back-up my save
That's because Agroprom is a fucking awesome word.
It's the abbreviation for "agropromishlinnost", meaning "agricultural development/industry".

It just feels so satisfying to feed on scraps and feel like you've accomplished something when you bring those first few artifacts to the camp after fighting a few bandits and a couple of boars. And that glorious earlygame feel when you feel like avoiding fights instead of rushing into them head on.. Even a group of 5 bandits feels dangerous to take on at once.

Early game feel is best feel.
I'm gonna try a TOZ-34 only playthrough. The 34's a basic gun, but it's still a good weapon.
Here's a first sample recording of one of the WotW voice actors doing a little conversation between two Stalkans: Hang on, finding a streaming site... [editline]10th June 2011[/editline] http://www.supload.com/listen?s=miTcFx

Maybe a little too fast for those who aren't good enough at English to understand, though, especially if there will be other effects in the background.
It's better than the voice acting in CoP :ohdear:
Not difficult! We might have a few CoP-style ones for a laugh, though :P [editline]10th June 2011[/editline] Glad you guys think it's good, he's gonna record the first proper NPC lines very soon and if you're all well behaved I may make a little video demonstrating some super exciting new stuff.
That voice acting was very good, I'm impressed at how it's all shaping up, although as said above "fucking bastard" doesn't sound right, 'specially not in the accent. [editline]10th June 2011[/editline] If you need voice acting for a nerdy Irish teenager hit me up.
OH MY GOD WHY DON'T YOU AUTOSAVE! The icon comes up BUT IT NEVER ACTUALLY SAVES. This is the third time I've had to play from the beginning now.
The little diskette icon? Ignore it and download a mod that removes it, because it seems to be indicating fuck all.
Sweet Christ, the Agroprom underground is still creepy as fuck even on static lighting and when you know there are literally no dangers there because you haven't made any. I need to get it working on dynamic lighting without crashing though :/

It starts with that red, revolving emergency light shrieking like a dentist's drill or a knife scratching the plate. Yuck.
The sound was in but the light wasn't in this build haha, and yes, that sound is truly a very, very good effect. Can't wait to get the Underground to its true beauty in WotW. So much gorgeous dynamic lighting and smoke awaits.
The first time I went to Agroprom underground I walked to the revolving light, turned around, and climbed back up the ladder. I played through the entire game twice and still haven't been down there. :v:
Can anyone explain how radiation works here? It seems to randomly flare up and even if I move away from the infected zone I still die in 5 seconds.

When you leave the area drink some vodka or take some anti-rad meds.
