Actually, if anything, there should be more of them. There often happens that there are lone ones in places which doesn't exactly look like they've been torn by anomalies, such as one of the buildings in Jupiter Plant, and since they're invisible it's hard to notice that they're actually there.
But they make a very distinctive sound and don't they let off some kind of fumes you can see ?
It's been a long while since I've been to the Jupiter plant.
Wait, what is WotW and what does Thorny have to do with it?
In short, it's a total conversion mod for Call of Pripyat,
set before the events of Shadow of Chernobyl .
Almost. It's set before Clear Sky
Also, it uses the maps from Clear Sky and Shadow of Chernobyl, albeit with minor changes.
using SoC/CS maps with more than minor changes ;)
None of the Call of Pripyat maps, however.
e: Yeah, kind of momentarily forgot whether it was indeed before Clear Sky
Dat suit.
That looks in fact pretty sweet.

Uh... kind of. They release some sort of orange-ish sparks or something, but it's really easy to mistake those for normal dust particles. As for the whchooup sound they make, I'm not really sure that it's there anymore, I'd definetly hear it in regular anomaly clusters.

Almost. It's set before Clear Sky, using SoC/CS maps with more than minor changes ;)

You thinking of getting the LA team to give you the darkscape level? The skip between Dark Valley and Cordon always felt extremely weird to me.

Yeah it's a weird transition but unless we make Darkscape ourselves, there's no getting round it. That's not out of the question though ;)

fucking alpha squads spawn every time I take the loot from the previous grouping

Awesome.
Speaking of cut maps, is there anything more to that set of roads and buildings in the bottom left corner of the SoC map?
I've been playing SoC for around 5 hours straight now.
I think I'm addicted. :v:

Welcome to The Zone, stalker. Did Wolf give you a task?

Why not just grab it from one of the old builds and modifiy it to your needs?
Why not just grab it from one of the old builds and modifiy it to your needs?
Well that's what we'd probably do :)
Yea, build 2571 has the Darkscape in it, but it seems preety unfinished.
You must have not played SGM before. And you seem to think it has better quality than, lets say, AMK.
How naïve :v:
I've played it before, but that was on a 4:3 monitor. Is it a problem specifically with the aspect ratio?
I want mortars and fixed machineguns in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
They'd be awesome for stuff like defending encampments.
Mortars hell no

How did your ACT go?

Mortar rounds take time to land, in that time you're already overrun by whatever is attacking you.
Besides, not worth the trouble to drag them to the zone.
The STALKER menu song should be this

Yeah, but knowing Duty they would love to get their hands on some.

its a good thing youre joking or id have to kill your family
Mortars would only be good for defending The Bar or The Clear Sky's Swamps if the enemy is spotted far away. Other than that they would be extremely useless in The Zone.
Speaking of heavy weapons, did Freedom got around to fixing those BTRs and T-72's stashed in their base?
Actually, considering the fact that Screw is so drunk it's a problem for him to fix a single UAZ it'd be more profitable for Freedom to buy new APCs than to repair the ones they stole.

Am I? :~)
yes
Maaaaan the underground is really coming together now. It's incredible how much difference some good lighting can make.

That's what I'm saying. Duty's never been one to skimp on firepower(what with their Military contacts and all), and mortars work beautifuly on the defensive. Just set up some makeshift observation posts, a reliable way of communicating between them and the mortar crews, and BAM; no more problems with mutants or bandits almost overruning the OP.
If they zoned in the mortars before they were attacked and had some good observers, I guess they'd be pretty useful.

The problem is that there aren't any real mutant hordes that would warrant such a defence outside of some mods.
Just set this bad boy in a sandbag bunker and it'll wipe out anything.
I've got a problem. I've just gotten into cordon, and talked to that sidvorask or something guy for the first time, but I can't go under the bridge because the stalkers hate me for some reason. What do I do? (Clear sky)
