This is probably my favourite game of all time to be honest, I just can't stop playing and whenever I force myself off it to get to sleep, I end up just getting back up and playing more.
Unfortunately for me, I'm at a laboratory now and shit's getting scarier. I suck at pulling myself together whilst playing horror games. :ohdear:

Why did CoP's skyboxes always look like such shit when compared to Shoc's? They're the same texture, but something about the way they're rendered in Xray 1.5 really makes them look like shit. It seems like they're stretched really weirdly across the sky when in ShoC they looked fine.
Does anyone have an alternate link to OL10, the 10 part link on the MODDB page does not work for me.

It may be because the maps in CoP are much larger, and they look more stretched. I hope that they look better in STALKER 2.

Hmm, I've looked into SGM before. My computer is fine to run pretty much anything at this point, upgraded a month ago. Does anyone have the links or a guide to install it? I remember it being a mess of various hotfixes, content dumps, patches, etc.

Very little. I never spent my time hunting artefacts on any of my playthroughs in any STALKER games, despite how profitable it usually is.
And generally speaking, repairing and selling on equipment isn't worth your investment. In gaining said loot, how much damage did your armour take? How much food did you eat? How much ammo did you use/waste/re-gain?
Anyway, I forgot about the documents from Jupiter. Gave them to Hermann and I'm back up to 20k.
Also my desktop is shitting itself and I have to reassemble it, else no stalkan except for AMK on lowest settings on my laptop.

The thought is to have as many mods as possible taking up as little place as possible on as good of a connection as possible with as little bullshit as possible. Aside from the downtime, I'm doing better than everyone else that hosts mods.

hat's just the thing, the loot is side-product of some other quest.
Also, I just did tjhe repair + sell thing. Jesus christ, that shit is mad profitable.

Its worth depends on the original condition of the equipment and what it is. If it's above 60% I think you'll make profit on that item.
Well that was strange. Was clearing out the bandit base in the dark valley, killed everyone and was leaving, when at the entrance I spot 4 brown leather overcoat bandits, take them down, only to see that they all have P90's and nothing else. Lazy enemy generation? Or a leather-jacket-P90 gang?
also about 5 seconds after seeing them all I hit F7 on accident, trying to quicksave, which loads my save at the very beginning of the level :saddowns:

Yea. SoC kind of pulled it off the best, but the grass drawing distance was a bit eh. The one in CoP is just shit.
Damn this thread moves fast. Can anyone help me with installing SGM Blackbyte? Or preferably tell me a bit more about it's features? It seems kind of like SMRTER, though my biggest peeve with SMRTER was that it just felt so...unfinished. I understand that it's only version .45 but it felt like a lot of the things implemented weren't really implemented well; they were just thrown in there. Like how that starter rookie jacket you get doesn't even have a name/description, just like a filename or something.
Does anybody have any idea what my problem could be, or where I could find help?
What mods did you try to merge? CoP Reloaded and what is TFW? Generally you don't really want to merge 2 big mods together unless you're good with Notepad++ and know what to keep and what to change. I never do more than little things like textures or sounds.
Reloaded for clear sky, and Total factional wars or The faction wars. Don't know what the actual name is. I'm pretty much done with merging and I'm just trying to fix bugs, but now it comes up with that error and I don't know in which file the error occurs.
Oh, the faction mod. I googled your problem, didn't come up with anything that's quite the same, but I think it may be your main menu? If both mods change the main menu UI it may just cause a crash, cause I know some mods actually add more options to the menu, like AMK does. This is just basing it off that ui_mm_main.xml part though. I'm pretty rusty at this stuff, I remember playing around with SoC files and most of it was in Russian...
You could try either deleting that file entirely from the UI folder, or just trying either Reloaded or TFW's particular file and see which one lets you get in-game.
