Actually, it's perfectly possible to open the chest while half-way in the door, allowing you to walk back into the room to go mine it.

[sp]Found that cute TNT iron thing. Nice try, but you got screwed over by my texture pack. I took one of the Iron blocks off and was like "what in the fuck is that?" Switched back to default, it's TNT. Dug around that mess carefully and got every single one of those blocks. Thanks again!
Also, I don't know if this is you guys or not but I can see land and trees right off the coast of the island. Unless you did that on purpose I'd make the ocean a LOT bigger. Sorta immersion-ruining when I can see ice and trees just off the coast of the horrible death island I'm supposed to be surviving on. [/sp]

If you guys make a sequel to this map, it should center around a bombed out metropolis, with a sewer system.
Also, include a texture pack to go with it.
This is pretty fun, especially on Hardcore mode with Mo'Creatures.
Nothing quite like the prospect of being chased by Werewolves to get you huddling in a little hole.
I found some gravel not that far away from the bunker you start in. I dug that out early and I am currently using it as a home, waiting for the night. I found a cave with some stone, as well as a few iron and coal deposits. Just need to wait for my sapling to grow so I can cut it down and make some picks, then life shall become a million times easier. :black101:

Overall this is a great map, but I have one issue.
There's nothing to stop you from just mining away the bunker (and it is [i]so[/i] tempting..).
Perhaps making it from a "useless" material or one that is difficult to mine would be a good idea?
Yeah, you should make the bunker from obsidian, i kinda stole the iron doors and a lot of the cobble.

This map is too easy, even on hardcore mode.
Once you find the [sp]TNT wall[/sp] and the [sp]house nearby[/sp] and get enough wood to make a pickaxe, it boils down to normal survival. I had a full-fledged house and everything before my sapling even grew.
You need to take all the wood out of it, and maybe make the minerals (and stone) rarer. I got my first 3 cobblestone out of the remains of the [sp]exploded bunker when you leave the hardcore mode gate[/sp].
Also the chests in the [sp]graveyard by Alpha[/sp] are quite useful - found a lot of pork in them. :v:
Mother fucker, that tnt shit....damn. Anyway, it was really easy. I had no problem. With the pickaxe provided in the beginning I got enough stone for a while and a good amount of coal. I got a ton of pork and stuff from the graves.
Needs a story of some sort :confused:
