Look at that fine de-rail.

It would be cool if Jlea would add "MP-446" since it's a popular Russian pistol. It also looks cool.

I don't think that robot would be that hard to animate, you probably wouldn't have to do much with the monkey just make him move his hands. Besides, you can always mo-cap it with a real monkey machine

Why exactly the civilian version, if I might ask?
deployables
-sandbags. provides proper cover, in a C shape. no bullets can penetrate this so it's safer than a wall for instance.
-pkm bipod. the PKM is already modelled, just need the bipod and various things underneath it (ammo boxes etc.)
-barbed wire circle. prevents enemy movement in that area. doesn't stop vehicles.
-landmine. no explanation needed..
alright I think that about covers it, any ideas?

So what, your guy carries sandbags around? :v:
[editline]1[/editline]
How about a deployable machine gun or something?
......
did you guys fix up the PKM? I remember it having a ton of inaccuracies
So what, your guy carries sandbags around? :v:

What, you're saying it like no one else does. I, for one, always carry around sandbags in my back pocket.
did you guys fix up the PKM? I remember it having a ton of inaccuracies
no, but its not a viewmodel weapon so it shouldn't matter
Believe it or not video games don't have to be accurate to real life.

brb making forza game where you have no hydraulics
[editline]3rd July 2011[/editline]
and no fuel tank
inaccuracies on the world model of a weapon are in no way comparable to removing the essential functions of a car
You could really add in the UVB-76 is some creepy easter egg or just have a lone radio in a bunker play the signal. It's really fucking creepy.

I agree but the model had quite a few obvious problems from what I remember, it's just a world model though so it doesnt really matter anyway

I had that stuff in before it caught on with the rest of the internet :v:
Just... Try not using it too much, I am going to have no sleep tonight already from that.
[editline]4th July 2011[/editline]
Oh shit I think I just gave you an idea.
It's not really that scary once you realise it's just a dead hand system kept on for legacy reasons.
inaccuracies on the world model of a weapon are in no way comparable to removing the essential functions of a car
You should make it work like it looks. Bolt action PKM.
you hold down jump near a low wall/crate/whatever + you get pushed upwards. you can "catch" ledges this way too. you're supposed to only be able to do this if your weapon is holstered, but i havent implemented that yet
Did anyone ever playing True Combat: Elite (a ET:Wolf mod), it had climbing like this.
RnL just had some interesting camera movement when climbing. It made up for the lack of animated climbing hands.
Maybe just view the animated worldmodel from the head perspective? Like the deathcam, only animated not ragdolled.

If you can't be as good as the 8 year olds that come in FP, what makes you think you'd be good at anything?

I suppose you're going with a TF2 styled deployable system? A menu pops up and you choose your thing, then a status bar appears while it's being constructed etc.
