The rifles sound too fat and chunky somehow. The AK sounds like someone's banging a desk. They need to be sharper, a crack or a snap. Edit: Oh wait 5 pages of discussing about this, my bad.

I liked Mirror's Edges gun sounds. They were hollywood, yes, but they had balls. And the game centered around not using them.
I still can't wait to start using that mosin nagant! considering how many mosins there are in the world and how many wars they have been in, they don't get nearly enough apperances in games D:

I would hope so, seeing .40 cal bullets make a large hole like that would be interesting :v:
Just a bit of info on the penetration system, 7.62x54 should be able to go through about 2-3 1/2 bricks before stopping.
Those look great, far better than the defaults. If it is possible to use the different sized decals depending on what gun is being used that would be awesome.
