1. Hell no. If you don't have artifacts that remove radiation, don't use radioactive artifacts on your belt.
The first artifacts are shit tier. Sell them to Sidorovich.
2. Learn to embrace the night and use it to your advantage : human opponents have trouble spotting you at night if you don't use your headlamp.
Dealing with some mutants is quite a bitch at nighttime, however. You should still go out at night because what fun is it to only stalk during the daytime?

The STALKER doesn't really seem to notice them, too, just taking blind shots. Plus, the way he stays still when all of the other guys get them is suspicious. But I'm not buying into bloodsuckers leaving all that precious blood on the floor.

Hey guys, what mod do you recommend for a guy who wants loads of new shit on SoC but only has 2 Gb of RAM?

Maybe Oblivion Lost? Pretty stable, and lots of content. I personally prefer AMK, but if it's content you want and on 2GB of RAM, OL might be more to your tastes

Damn it I don't own Clear Sky but I have Call of Pripyat. Would it be fine to play CoP now or does it contain things that I'd only understand if I play CS?

It says it requires 4 GB of RAM. Well, at least it was the 2010 version. Of mny versions are there?
Is there a way to tell if I'm not ready to move on to the next level? Will I just get shot to death 20 times in a row? The Cordon seemed quite short, I spent about 2 or 3 hours in there, is that just because it's the starter zone or am I not spending enough time on side quest stuffs?

Yeah that sounds like plenty time, if you're getting restless. Head on over to the Garbage and see how you handle it.
Garbage can be a bitch though with all those bandits, I'd wait a little.
Watch out for the bandit scum, though.
EDIT: If you managed to kill the soldiers at the bridge in Cordon and get an AK, then fighting the bandits should be an easy task. Hell, they're not hard to kill even with a pistol.

It's fine to play it. No CS spoilers in CoP really, CS is more like backstory to the series so it doesn't really matter if you don't have CS.
Be good to get it later down the track if you can though, just to see what it's like. Also TFW for CS is amazing.
Also to MountainWatcher I only played the older versions of OL, never played 2010. Always played it on 2GB or RAM, E6600 2.4ghz CPU, and a godlike GPU. I have since upgraded to get my RAM and CPU in line with my GPU but that was what I used to play on. No crashes, just a fair amount of stuttering when loading new areas - especially Bar, god that was horrid.

I've moved into the Garbage. So many bandits. A lot of the time it's actually easier killing them with a pistol than a rifle. Also, close quarters combat in that first bit with all the broken down helicopters and cars/trailers is awesome. Popping out on the 3 unsuspecting bandits, killing 2 with a pistol, surprise buttsex attack the last with a knife.

Hey, guys, if one were to make a mod for Cop that was identical to SoC and distribute it, would it be illegal? I mean, at what extents can you made a game with elements from a different game?
