No, I was just making a joke. The other guy said the headbobbing had an immersion purpose, to feel like a STALKER.
Ohhh. I remeber that I saw an image of some stalkers puking next to a campfire.
If Stalker wanted to be realistic it should show the slow and painful death that Stalkers would experience after such high exposure to radioactivity, with hair falling out, vomiting blood, that sort of thing.

But that would be just too sick to see. Especially in a game.

no, it isn't immersive as in realistic, it's immersive as in "yeah this is definitely a STALKER game alright"
mind-melting mutants and invisible zombie ghoasts aren't realistic either, but that's stalker

And so is getting backstabbed by everybody, it would be a horrible game mechanic, though.
I fucking loved the headbobbing in SoC and honestly have no idea why everyone else hates it
makes it the most authentic stalker experience, play the games like they're meant to be played :colbert:
Head bob isn't something that you can actually see. Like, when you run, does your vision looks like it's being thrown around? No. Your brain cancels it out. I can understand why you might like it, but personally I just find it a little annoying.
EDIT:
My friends, gather round the camp fire. I would like to tell you a story. Once upon a time, there was a STALKER named Zenka Auroch. Now, Zenka was a pretty average STALKER; came in via the Cordon, hung for a while, got enough money to buy himself a decent shooter, and moved out towards the bar. Now, upon arriving in the bar, Zhenka made friends with the STALKERs that hung near the northern checkpoint. Zhenka lived a fairly quite life there (as quite as life can be in the zone), participating in the occasional raid to the Agroprom or Army Warehouses, finding and selling some of the less valuable artifacts for profit. Now, one day, Zhenka stumbled into the old tower next to the arena, trying to escape the rain. While pacing around impatiently, he noticed that there appeared to be some sort of large, hollowed out pipe right under the stairs. Curious, Zhenka crawled around until he found himself next to the pipe. Reaching his hand in, he felt something hard an metallic. Excited, he pulled it out. It was Saiga-12C with a fully automatic fire mode. Zhenka nearly yelped with joy. He could make good money off of this (he had no need of it; he had his trusty AK-74.) He immediately began advertising that he was selling this beauty over the STALKER News Network. Two days after he found it, the Marked One, a STALKER known for his seemingly endless well of luck and extreme aptitude for getting into and out of dangerous situations, leaving a trail of dead snorks and bandits in his wake, came back to the bar from lab X18. He approached Zhenka at around 7'oclock in the evening. He asked him about that Saiga he was selling. Zhenka told him that it would be 3,000 RU. The marked one said it sounded like a good deal; however, he wanted to see where Zhenka had found it first. Zhenka, a little confused but not suspecting anything, readily agreed. He and Marked One entered the dark, secluded tower. Thirty seconds later, the sharp bark of a sawn-off shotgun was heard. The Marked One walked out, the Saiga-12C he had found in Strelok's lair and stored inside the pipe back in his hands.
Tl;dr Fuck you, Zhenka, you thieving bastard
I still remember first time I loaded SoC vanilla. I walked out of the bunker, towards Wolf and then said "WTF is this... it's like I have one really short leg and a broken neck". Then I went straight online and figured out how to turn down the head bobbing to almost nothing. It's like in Just Cause 2 when you get on a motorbike, and suddenly the whole world tips over when you make a slight turn. Not as bad as SoC Head bobbing though.
Drinking Vodka probably made the effect less :P

On my way to X16. Heres to another fear filled stream of pants shitting!
Thanks for watching my stream guys! Next time I'll do CoP or Priboi because the lag is really annoying when I play TFW and stream at the same time.

Oh, whoops. I missed your second one.
I'm not sure you actually read my post
Honestly, I don't see how you find something STALKER-proper if its the first game in the series, you don't have anything to compare it to. Unless you played the other games first, or only start to like the headbob after you saw a bunch of things on SoC.
Finished SoC :saddowns:
which ending?

Well, if you don't have a save in Pripyat, you're fucked. If you do, head back to the Cordon and find Guide, if he's alive, good for you. if not, well... you can still see if the special quest goes on.

Be glad they didn't actually use the English voice for that, it sounds terrible.

Spoiler.
Not worth it.
So glad that my faction doesn't need my help all the time in TFW. They can do things on their own!

I really must play this now.

A newbie's first X16 live now.
The non-cam_inert 0 camera is going to make me vomit everywhere.
It's an exotic experience, I give you that.

Really? Clear Sky in my TFW can't defend a point on there own. They don't ask for help often - but if they get attacked they will always lose.
