I'm getting this odd crashes in Call of Pripyat Redux. The mission where you side with either Sultan's bandits or Beard's STALKERS is unplayable becuase once you get to the point where you're overlooking the arms trade when you meet up with the squad leader and agree to the plan the game locks up and crashes. Fellow stalkers help me!

Well don't I feel like the ass of the joke, I'm reinstalling CoP right now. I guess we'll see that in a few hours/in a day or two.

oh god, my brothers playing a retarded Free to play mmo and it's lagging me out horrendously. Normally I can get like 700 kb/s, now I'm getting 30. Thank you, you dumbass.
I swear, loners in TFW are placed just so that I'll accidently shoot them.
Shooting Duty? Exoskeleton loner right in the middle of them. Bandits? Loner in a trenchcoat right behind them. Freedom? Random loner beside them with his gun out. :argh:
[editline]24th June 2011[/editline]
They then take the loot off the soldiers I just killed.
Selfish bastards. Wish I could kill them...
[QUOTE=Melon_Mapper;30633655]Any recommended mods for Shoc, seeing as I can't get complete 2009 to work.[/QUOTE]
AMK 4 life.
What mod should I get for CS? I want to play the main story and I heard TFW took it out.
Just got back from the range. .30-60 is a helluva round.

CS complete?
I'm looking at that now, and it's either complete or reloaded. Which will better gameplay and remove these bugs you guys talk about?
[editline]25th June 2011[/editline]
eh... looking at completes comments... apparently everyone is crashing at limnask. Reloaded it is!
Guys, you should really reconsider the PnP, I mean if Paravin played as GM, we would have a chance to stop him. We could fight back, brothers!
Start Chernobyl,
Get past the Railroad embankment,
Fucking Military Encampment,
Get shot to hell,
See I've got radiation poisoning in the orange...
The Zone has claimed another life.
God damn this game is hard.
I want to have a Springfield M1903A3 in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. now.

Just got back from the range with one, it's a great rifle.

I understand your love for PnP brother, but with Paravin it would be like - no wait heres a better way.
[B]Paravin as GM[/B]
It began on the 25th of June, a day we would [I]never[/I] forget.
We were playing a roleplaying game, and it was going to be great! Or so we thought...
A man from across the world was gamemaster, his internet name being Paravin. He was quite popular as a writer, and was helping if the upcoming WoTW mod, so he was looked to as a good decision. What followed however was far from a good experience.
We started in Cordon, and set out eagerly into the Zone, makarovs and knifes in hand, ready to goof off and have fun. Encountering our first mutant, Paravin with a wry smile began to write a twisting tale that shocked us to our very core. Some began to throw up, I felt chills and went pale, but it didn't stop there... he continued, and in graphic detail described what was happening to our bodies.
And we never played PnP again.
Also, 3 gbs done downloading! woot!

That would be weird. It's a WW2 american rifle, I doubt you would find a usable one in the Zone. Of course same goes for a lot of the non-eastern europian weapons found in Stalker.
[editline]25th June 2011[/editline]
4.5 gbs done! plus 64% of reloaded!
The last thing stalker needs is more bolt action pre cold war era guns. The mosin naggant doesn't even fit that well.
Error Reason:
----------------------------------------
xrEngine.exe caused BREAKPOINT in module "c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\stalker call of pripyat\bin\xrCore.dll" at 0023:007CE12E, xrDebug::backend()+174 byte(s)
Help
I didn't really use the Mosin in lurk. I tried it, but the ammo was waaay to rare, and the scoped version was impossible to use. Is there a way to remove weapon sway? Sniping was impossible.
I don't get why everyone complained about weapon sway in LURK, it didn't even bother me one bit.

I had an error like that. You reinstalled right? Same. Try finding the folder where your screenshots and saves are, if you didn't back them up, do so, then delete the user.ltx file. Thats how I fixed my SoC. Just remember to back up saves and the user file in case it doesn't work.
Good point on not needing it in the zone.
Oh well, if the apocalypse comes, I can still grab mine. :v:
[QUOTE=seano12;30693826]I don't get why everyone complained about weapon sway in LURK, it didn't even bother me one bit.[/QUOTE]
It rotated like a bitch, I could have sat there for a good five minutes steady-ing my weapon on a guys head, and suddenly it would rotate or he would move and it would all blow up in my face. Headshots were hard as hell in lurk.

The only thing that bothered me was the insane spread on the crosshairs. It'd blow up till it actually went beyond the screen, but I think they fixed it in a patch luckily.

But a STALKER's job is never done, and never does one give up in the face of adversity or pain. We let the evil gods do as they wished, enduring everything. After Paravin felt satisfied, we got up, buttoned our pants, buried our dead and continued onward to the military outpost. It turns out we were but dessert, our fallen brothers being taste-cleanser in the belly of the beast, resting over thousands of bodies, all belonging to the 5 men that used to guard the bridge. But nothing could have shielded them from the god's gluttony, the harmer's hunger, the freak's famine.
We felt grateful for their sacrifice and carried on, for such is life in the Zone.

Welcome to RL if you don't have a bi-pod I guess.

I think that was to force you to play without them.
[editline]24th June 2011[/editline]
WHICH YOU SHOULD!
[QUOTE=seano12;30693881]Welcome to RL if you don't have a bi-pod I guess.[/QUOTE]
I would have loved that, but in real life you can - hold your breath, go prone and set up a bi-pod. The issue with realistic games is that unless you are absoloute in your realism, it's just a pain. I would love it if lurk allowed players to actually go prone, set up a bi-pod and hold their breath to steady the shot, but this is not the case, and thus the rotation is just plain annoying.
[editline]25th June 2011[/editline]
wow that download. wow. All done!
[editline]25th June 2011[/editline]
1 hour, 5 gbs. clear sky woot!
There should be a CS mod that lets you go prone like NPCs.
oh fuck what? They can go prone? I guess I'm going to be treading on the back of a lot of legs in this game, I never see people that are prone.
Before I assaulted the Scientists camp with my boys one of them went prone.
