They almost outright said no on the facebook page, back when I still used facebook.
If the S.T.A.L.K.E.R Thread had an IRL manifestation like a bar where we all hung out, coming to the thread and saying "Hey, I had an awesome idea : How about if S.T.A.L.K.E.R had co-op ? Great, huh :v: ?" should carry a mandatory punishment of buying everyone a beer. We would never have to use our own dosh to get drunk.
A STALKER camping trip would be p cool.
It'd get kinda weird. What if Paravin tells us one of his stories and then a pack of wild animals runs by? Unless it's in the zone. But I don't think you can camp there.
Honestly, telling scary stories around a fire while someone plays guitar would be the best part of the trip. Also, nerf wars or paintball wars.
You can camp in the zone. Stay on the asphalt.
Oh god that'd be fantastic. We'd need to wear Trenchcoats and the such though.
Didn't a Facepuncher or two get a tour in the Zone last year?
Oh god that'd be fantastic.
Oh god that'd be fantastic. We'd need to wear Trenchcoats and the such though.
Mind you the zone has no dresscode. Its just smart to wear armor when theres asshole who want your loot without you to kick about it. Or a mutant decides to poke a hole in your chest with its claws, tusk, tentacles or mangled hands.
Trenchcoats, leather jackers, general utility and protective wear, probably no gas masks though as we don't want to be too creepy. Have a few drinks, go out into the wilderness, make a campfire, it'd be awesome. If only meetups were easy, then we could have themed ones.
I don't think we could have a meetup seeing as how everyone in this thread is spread across the world.
We all meet in Albuquerque.
I don't think we could have a meetup seeing as how everyone in this thread is spread across the world.
If we did meet up it'd have to be very well thought out.

My gasmask is bigger than your gasmask :smug:
My gasmask is bigger than your gasmask :smug:
Nu-uh. :colbert:
Isn't there that Russian modteam that's porting STALKER to CryEngine 2? Co-op would certainly be possible on that.
who the hell are you?
I'm the guy who's the most afraid of you. :ohdear:
You're just lucky the Zone consumed his story archives.

Latest development in filters: Asbestos.

I finally got a goddamn email asking for my CD key instead of some dumb bullshit. Let's hope they reply within 5 hours so I can actually play CS today.
I think AP 9x39 in my mod is overpowered... It kills every stalker in one shot. :ohdear: I should go find a VSS...
Didn't a Facepuncher or two get a tour in the Zone last year?
JoeSibliant went.
Heh, every time I found a VSS in vanilla CS, it had little to no ammo. So I stashed the best one I found in the box in the Neutral Base saying "I'll pick it up when I have ammo for it". I found 30 boolits or so in motherfucking Red Forest. But no weapon to use them with. :argh: [editline]26th June 2011[/editline]
JoeSibliant went.
His thread was deleted. :saddowns:
I just thought of a video series. To Pripyat and back, I record me running from the cordon to pripyat and make a video out of all the crazy stupid stuff that happens, or I actually play. [editline]26th June 2011[/editline] I'd be playing LURK.
For all the unwitting rookies wondering, Co-op on the current engine is impossible.
It's not really. I told the guys in one of the livestreams a little while back that we found a way to add Lua libraries to be used by the game, so one could technically make co-op, or something very like it. Imagine chatting with other people in-game, seeing what level they're on etc.

I've thought of it too; seeing how it's based on a server/client structure, should a a lot of small servers(like mmos have) be able to simulate all of the npcs, and then distribute the postitions and actions of them to the players, but only give clients the info about the npcs around them?
