Grenade launchers are useless because of the extra weight. AS VAL has optional scope. Silencers come with the weapon. AS VAL is my last upgrade, after it, nothing else is needed. [editline]26th June 2011[/editline] Extra weight as in both grenade launcher and grenades.

It's confusing, annoying, hard to navigate and generally awful. I skipped most of it and left as soon as I could. It's also not "scary" like X18 was.

I liked X8 because it was just that, so claustrophobic.

AS VAL has the same problem the VSS does, horrible projectile drop. I could throw a stone at them faster than the 9x39 goes. Put a silencer on a NATO weapon and that'll do well enough, might be a bit more than a whisper but at 400m who really notices a few decibels.

After that, the similar experience will have you go like "Oh, I've been to this already". They made a major blunder in Call of Pripyat by unveiling EVERY DAMN MONSTER before you even have to fight them for real. The poltergeist and especially the Pyrogeist should've never been introduced in an open air environment where they can't hurt you at all. I personally liked X8 and the building on top of it. That mission actually reminds me of ShoC in a good way. Also, the Lab contains a pretty big plot thing that I managed to miss on my first time over there and it has to hide something [I]really[/I] important considering [sp]Getting the information inside it is one of the top goals of the mercenaries[/sp] . The [sp]Gauss test facility[/sp] was the lamest.

I didn't even realise, but I left like half the documents in there because I could barely find my way around the damn place.

The poltergeist at the Iron forest and the pyrogeist at the Circus anomaly were just far too easy. The poltergeist never even stayed near the anomaly so you just chase the sparkly thing through a bunch of power lines until you shoot it with a shotgun enough.

Projectile drop is not a problem, as in a real concern. At all. :colbert: And it's 2kgs less than most if not all NATO weaponry. At the same ranges that you'd actually have to adjust for the drop, the NATO weapons spread would not make it a bit harder to aim, like the drop does, but make it entirely up to chance whether you hit or not.
