So I got a quest to help some stalkers with a bandit problem. Just chilling there, beating the shit out of some bandits when out of nowhere 3 FUCKING BLOODSUCKERS SCREAMING AT ME AND TRYING TO EAT ME. I shit bricks.

Would I have to complete SoC to understand the story of CoP?

Not really. It sums up pretty much everything you need when you start a new game in CoP anyway.

what does "PRIPYATAN" mean? Is it a version of "STALKAN"?

And you haven't seen how much it crashes. For me, it was 100% unplayable, too many crashes. At least 8 on my way to the Skadovsk.

So. What's the deal with russian versions of stalker? They get more updates? Makes sense, localization of language makes producing and distribuiting content easier. Of course mod compatibility would be an issue if these updates were converted to other languages. Also what is the moist nugget? The mosin naget? It's kinda disturbing...
