Haven and Hearth is definitely your best bet, if you don't mind having to struggle to survive. You'll also have to work pretty hard to find civilization, but when you do, its almost always an RP-ish one since the game doesn't have raids and dungeons and all of that, just the daily struggle.
Minecraft.
Shores of hazeron when haxus updates. build a spaceship as a house and plop it down somewhere, then build a few cities too or somethin with your pet penisiguanadon then begin invasion of neighbors. perfect plan. [editline]23rd June 2011[/editline] or puzzle pirates if SoH is too hardcore for you :v: [editline]23rd June 2011[/editline] oh wait, there is also Mortal Online. full on housing, there is RP if you look for it, and of course its a completely open world.

Most of the time I was attempting anything I failed. And the community tutorials were really unclear too. Never figured out how to get metal anyway.
