Wasn't somebody working on a full-scale Black Mesa?
Not sure if it's still going on.

Most updated carto.
Looking smexy.
That's pretty sweet.
Is this being done legit or using OP commands?
DISREGARD THAT I READ THE OP
release the save when finished
jesus fuck, that looks sweet.
The cartographer is on dropbox btw so it's constantly updated. See the bit of black in the center? 4x4 obsidian obelisk that goes down to bedrock
Fuck yeah.
So what happened in the two days you didn't post, what's with the lack of updating? :argh:
We're still working on it, the first city is nearing completion, you can see the progress on the image I posted just above, it's hosted on dropbox like I said, so it updates pretty regularly. You can see we've got a fair few buildings completed, soon it'll be time to delve into the ground below.
This looks pretty cool.
Looks like one of my superbuilds that I am working on:

How the hell do you manage spheres and circles anyways? I'm absolutely shit with anything that doesn't use straight lines.

There are templates floating around along with various editors that you can just punch in the size of a circle, zoom in, and it shows you pixels.
Also, to the builders: I'd suggest you leave room in the building/area you plan to use to change levels in the tower. You might want to build down after your finished building up.
MSPaint, circle tool, shift key and infinite patience.
If you look at the cooridnates in the bottom corner you can count more accurately.

Absolutely.
Absolutely.
Quick question, are you letting other people help with it? Or is it just you guys?
Absolutely.
Dear God, imagine the sheer amount of lava you had to find, not to mention the obsidian that may have been lost due to lava under the obsidian.
You are a god to me.
Makes me wish I could do MP. I would start playing again

It's an aussie server and it's mainly just a group of friends/friends of friends from university working together.
We're stretching the server pretty thin atm anyway, it's hosted on my mates PC for now (we're working on setting up a dedicated server) so when we get all 10 people online at once it starts to die a bit.

It looks more like a Pawn piece on a giant Checkers piece.
Might I suggest a new project?
Build City 17 from Half Life 2, citadel and all.
Any takers?

It's hard enough to make a small/decent sized village as-is.
However, if you're doing this in SMP then it's a different matter. I'm currently building a town in SSP and it's been hard.
