Holy balls my Shadow Priest trash DPS is terrible on normals. I hate to think what it'll be like when I start heroics. Top of the board for sustained DPS on bosses though.

The best way to dps on trash is to tab Vampiric Touch / SW: Pain spam.
Don't wait for Shadow Orbs to Mind Blast, Mind Blast on CD.
Make sure you're not letting your DoTs fall off, that's the best way to lose dps.
Don't SW:D until it's in the execute range, unless you're desperate for mana. It's less damage than a Mind Flay until then.
Keeping Dark Archangel on CD is awesome, it's great if you can time it for the execute range on a boss for some big SW:D crits.
You're also lacking alot of enchants which I can understand since the gear you're putting it on isn't exactly awesome anyway. But make sure you do and gem when your gear improves!

Hit the nail on the head with why I don't have enchants. The only gem I'm missing right now is a meta for my helmet, but I'm holding out because I'll have the Mask of New Snow by next week. I figure I'll be replacing 99% of that gear as soon as I start doing heroics. After reading up on the heroics however, I think it would probably be worth getting all the help I can get. Also I peak at around 10k DPS right now, is that enough for heroics?
