I was in 2 different server #1 guilds. loads of server firsts.
he was harder to turn on 10 man than 25 so they rebalanced it.
Helping characters come out of the closet is part of the raiding experience now? Interesting raid tactics.
I did my first heroic yesterday.
It was Opening of the Dark Portal. I love that dungeon, too.

Pretty awesome that they removed the stupid key requirement for BC heroics. I logged onto my 70 pala this morning and hit 'random BC dungeon' by accident and noticed that there weren't any padlocks.
my priest is level 74
and i've already got 3k justice points from converting honor -> jp
cool

People actually queue for BC heroics? I would have thought everyone would be doing LK dungeons.
If I had a level 70 toon, I'd like to see Heroic Magisters Terrace. That place is pretty challenging on normal with a group all wearing greens from leveling.
decided to start playing again today, continue old character or start on a new realm?
I think the policy for that kind of question in this thread goes along the lines of "we don't give a fuck"
going to lol when half the shit at mmowned turns out to be true

This. A thousand times over.

Most people don't even read the achievement, i used to link ones incomplete and still get invites.

but if u have achi then ur pro!!
Sucks that no one does 60 raids anymore... Just dinged and no raids.
Bit of a waste too imo.
The fuck would you want to do 60 raids for?
epics
The fuck would you want to do 60 raids for?
To see the content you paid for?
I wish I started playing too so I could do some of the old raids at the right level.
You're not missing anything, all the 60 raids were garbage.
I mean they were fun at the time I guess, but it wasn't the raids themselves, it was doing stuff with your guild on such a massive level.
You clearly didn't raid pre-TBC then lol. I made a return after a few years and I think Cata & WoTLK are both utter shite. The game is far too easy.
Pre-TBC raids were a challenge, but that's the point.
^ Perfect example of someone that has ten inch thick nostalgia goggles on.
Also lol @ thinking pre-tbc raids were hard, they were just giant retard checks, since a lot of people were new to MMOs at the time concepts like "stand out of the fire" were basically impossible to grasp by the majority of people, and still is for some reason.
The raids were very hard at times. You obviously don't know much about raiding if you think raids are simply moving out of AoE zones. There's a lot more coordination and game skills that goes into it than you think. Not just that, but to even get to a decent raid you need decent gear.
I'm not here to go on about "Oh you idiot you wasn't there in 06" but what I am trying to say is that Blizzard has killed a lot of the communal spirit away. Obviously we can't expect them to keep things pre-TBC for our sake, but as the expansions got released they just brought out crappier features, e.g. 'Dungeon Finder'
Gee I wonder why the raids were hard at the time... oh yeah it was because no one knew what the fuck they were doing, even Blizzard, 95% of WoW's players were new to MMOs, and so was Blizzard.
The only reason you perceive them as hard is because they were poorly designed, they compensated for their complete lack of knowledge of how to make a raid boss with things killing you with one shot.
Take the nostalgia goggles off, the fights were only "hard" because they could be completely broken in places and were poorly designed overall.
Poorly designed? Broken? Not at all, you clearly don't know what you're talking about.
Boss fights were a matter of coordination with the other 39 guild members. You won't get one-shotted if you have a few decent healers with you who know what they're doing.
It doesn't matter if anyone is new, because you have to go from 1-60 and work your way through progressively so you get experienced for the smaller raids.
You clearly had a bad experience in Molten Core and the GM told you to grow up and just play the game instead of raging.

it does and thats why i only said half because some of its actually plausable but it definately wont be called vengeance of the void, but its quite likely a placeholder title till they come up with something like vengeance of adal/the illidari/kil jaedan/old gods/kael thas and his setbacks or whatever
i should probably wait for the other 14 pages of bullcrap though, plenty of room to mention all the other classes
[editline]5th July 2011[/editline]
and not just shadowpriests
Good job you never actually raided past MC, the majority of a 40 man raid were just meatshields for the experienced and geared people, it wasn't about coordinating with other people, it was about how well the raid leader could herd sheep, the absolute best herders got to see C'thun and Naxx.
It doesn't matter how good your healers are if you get one-shotted you know you're kinda dead, good job not even understanding the the fucking term means and further proving you have no idea what you're talking about.
Yeah because vanilla leveling zones and low-level dungeons taught you how to play your class, the closest you ever got to raiding without being in a good raiding guild was the front gate of MC.
Yeah sure buddy, whatever makes you feel like you've won this argument.
You have no idea at all.

Vengeance of Kael'thas and his setbacks or whatever
I'd love that being the title.
I'm seriously fucking confused. I used up my free month last summer when I bought the game and two days ago I got a free week. The confusing part is the fact that all the quests I've ever done are available again as if I just started playing but I'm a level 46 right out the gate. I have all the items I had before and I spawned in the same place I was a year ago. Is this because of Cataclysm? Also, I don't even have Cataclysm and yet I can explore the changed areas like the Great divide. Can someone please explain what happened to my character?
Back in the Vanilla days after we got some randoms in Trade Chat we to walked to Molten Core uphill both ways! And we liked it.
I didn't play Vanilla, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't as great as a lot of people say it was.
