made a video after i got a little better gear.
yes, it is as fun as it looks
So does anyone else play this anymore?
I currently have a ground slam marauder. Made it to the end of normal using facebreakers and infernal blow which was way more fun than slapping the floor. How far can I expect to go with this? My merchant skills aren't good enough to acquire a bringer of rain or marohi erqi. Seems like my only option is to hit a brick wall at act 3 merciless and farm docks all day long for the occasional alch or chaos.
So does anyone else play this anymore?
still do
after the buffs to evasion and accuracy and upgrades to (almost) every single piece of my gear, i can clear lunaris 3 with my flicker strike crit shadow (still only 4L flicker strike) in 7-12 minutes.
and 75% chance to crit with 500 multiplier now LOL
I'm currently using Kripp inspired Discharge, but I hardly even play and when I do its on scrubcore
I try playing this from time to time but I've never got past level 50.
I tried to do a marauder tank build but it doesn't seem that good. I don't have that much health compared to other players and I do shit DPS.
If you play a tank, you pretty much need to be in a party, otherwise your damage is so crap it takes ages to level up. In parties however, your allies usually deal a crapton of DPS so you don't have to worry about that.
Got a lv79 Dual Spark Templar, but it was kind of a support character and after my friends stopped playing it got kinda boring spamming totems in a group full of strangers
I'm leveling a Rain of Arrows Archer now and got some nice gear waiting for me

Currently lv60. When I get some better rings and a good amulet I play on getting Koams but now my ele resists are pretty low on my rings.
I play Default league though because I lost a couple of characters in HC due to desync and it's the most frustrating thing ever
also if anyone wants to map with me on default pls add me: MrFlashcat

I just picked up this game. Diablo 2 fans, if you were let down by Diablo 3, than you will not regret picking THIS up. I love it.
Got a unique drop in a map and accidentally vendored it along with the rest of the loot I was carrying :suicide:
Man this game really needs more recognition.
What are you guys ingame names, I always want to talk about PoE but none of my friends care about this game and this thread is the equivalent of a cemetery
_Count
I want to try this game I just have to ask does it play anything like Champions of Norrath?
Managed to get my hands on a 6L Lioneye's for 20 exalts. I usually see them go for around 27 exalts so I think I made quite a bargain here.
ok wow fuck that my 6L Lioneye's is now like 16 exalts because of that new unique Voltaxic Rift bow introduced in the latest patch. Everybody's jizzing over that bow and Lioneye's dropped in value :~(
Also does literally nobody else on facepunch play this game, I added you _Count but I've yet to see you come online, and I play on a daily base.
I play rarely, I played a lot back when it was in closed beta, but currently I don't have any really fun builds (Rigtheous Fire, basic SPAM ARROWS, thats pretty much it) that would make playing alone fun.
And none of my friends play it either :(
I'm selling all my Ranger RoA gear and gonna buy a complete Discharger set of 45 Exalts
I've been wanting to play Discharger and got a lv 79 Templar sitting around that I can respec soooooo
Add me if you wanna play: MrFlashcat
Currently having a break from PoE, waiting for the next race season to start. I miss clearing 70+ maps ridiculously fast on my facebreaker character tho.

From their Twitter:
We've partnered with Razer to promote Path of Exile and Razer Comms. Get an exclusive Razer Footprints Effect! https://t.co/Yu03LKDgvn
http://www.razerzone.com/pathofexile/
The effect looks a bit goofy, it would be much better if it let smaller Razor icons on the ground where the feet touch the ground (Razor Icon shaped boot soles?)
I redeemed it because why not it's free, but the effect doesn't fit into PoE at all. Everything is an elemental effect or looks magical and then you have these razer footprints :v:
Also jesus christ good ES gear is so expensive...
Just gonna attempt to blow some life in this thread again
I hate how GGG fucked Fire Discharge builds a couple of days after I invest 40+ exalts in gear to make one.
The once fast clearing discharger I had has now been slowed down so much it started to get boring. Sold parts of the gear with a pretty big loss.
On the other hand, I respecced my ranger from RoA to Lightning Arrow and bought poorly rolled Voltaxic Rift. Ever since they were released I wanted to try it out but they were like 50 exalts for a 5L. Now that the price dropped a bit, I got a poorly rolled one for 19 exalts. Threw a Divine orb on it and rolled 3 damage away from perfect Lightning Damage roll.

The attack speed is the lowest possible roll (10-15) but idc about 5% attack speed when I have 7 frenzy charges.
It feels so good not having to care about reflect at all, I just stroll through every map not caring about a single map mod.
I think it's worth bumping: The game is finally going to be released (going out of beta) in 7 days, and it'll be available on steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/238960/
For the 1.0.0 release there is going to be a LOT of new content: general rebalance of previous content, a new class (The Scion), new gems, new leagues (Domination and Nemesis), new modes (PvP Arena, Capture the Flag), Guilds & Guild Wars, new monsters and a new final boss.

I might get back into this, neat its coming onto steam.
I've been wanting to actually get into this, the scions skills really made me wanna play, but I'm in for a long run to unlock her i think...
Anyways, anyone got some general advice here for me? like shit you know now, but wish you had known when you started?
The only thing I know is that I should plan my build ahead of time and go research some popular builds.

Don't waste good/rare "currency" on early items, save (hoard) it for later.
Explore everything, every room of every level, kill every enemy, break every jar, you never know what you'll find (plus you won't fall behind in level.).
If you want to pick items just to sell them for scrolls of wisdom, priorize the smaller ones, because they all sell for the same price. Smaller items take less space in your inventory.

If you want to farm for currency/items/goods, use the above method. Killing every single enemy and looting every single crate is helpful.
However, if you're going to farm for levels or you're doing race events, doing this is very very slow. Instead, run around gathering a large group of enemies and "herd" them together, then kill the group, and repeat. Killing off stragglers and looting anything that isn't in your direct path will slow down your progress a lot.

Well, I like to explore so the most efficient way to do everything at once is that.
Edit: Since Rents (the thread's creator) doesn't realy play PoE anymore, I decided to update the OP myself. I'll make a new thread when the game comes out of beta.
Sorry, you need to Log In to post a reply to this thread.
