I think it's too bright. I tried darkening it down to make it much less harsh on the eyes but tried to salvage the white of the reflections and even then it might be a bit much and overall it's pretty blurry in a lot of areas.
You can try my other two Witcher 2 background images, too.

STALKER isn't scary at all. It's atmospheric and tension-building, but I can't see any game where you have a gun truly scary.
