Cryostasis still does water/ice the best, I think. I'm not too fond of it as a game, but the tech (like the small PhysX implementation) is good.

Call of Pripyat certainly isn't one of the best looking games, but god damn I love the lighting and the atmosphere. Too bad AA doesn't seem to work right.
