Wings of prey i think. Also, i really don't think you want to play it with 360 controller.

Wings of Prey.
And I play with a 360 controller. I don't like hauling out my X-52 every time I play, because I usually just do one mission or so.
But for Cliffs of Dover, I think you'd want a joystick unless it has a casual mode like Wings of Prey. I know I wouldn't be able to play WoP if I was playing on the simulator setting.

Yeah I figured. I bought the game for like 10€ retail (activates on steam too) so I have plenty of money for a joystick if I ever feel like getting one.

I refuse to play an actual Flight Simulator without my setup, which is kind of a ghetto setup but works well... I use the pedals of a racing wheel for Rudder, the X45 Throttle quadrant for throttle and other shit I map to the buttons, and my trusty Saitek Cyborg 3D Gold to actually control the aircraft. Not a fan of the X45 stick itself. Wings of Prey isn't Sim enough for my taste, though it's gorgeous to look at. Any flying game that can be played using an Xbox controller or is on a console isn't Sim enough for me... Though I do have fond memories of playing Aerowings on the Sega Dreamcast, and a couple Ace Combat games

I've got a whole saitek ghetto rigged flight set up. My rudder pedals jam every so often so I have to sorta duct tape the edged so it's easier to unjam. Then my X52 is old as all hell so sometimes it's very unresponsive and some of the buttons don't work. Then there's my trackIR where the socket is broken so I have to tape it into position and sometimes it wobbles loose.
I would get new stuff but flight sim equipment costs an arm and a leg.
That's why I love Wings of Prey: it isn't a sim. It's realistic enough that I have to actually know techniques for flying the plane in combat, but I don't have to deal with shit I don't have any interest in. If I want to play a flight sim, I'll reinstall LOMAC (which doesn't work on my computer anyway).

i hate WOP because sometimes you find yourself flying in constant circles for like fifteen minutes trying to track a single enemy and it becomes the biggest most frustrating thing of all time
