Two things about the The Witcher 2 and Brink debate;
They are both very well worth it, no doubt about it.

Brink has minor flaws and may seem bad at the start, but the more you play the better it gets.

The multiplayer in it is amazing.

it's a fucking great game, the tech being unpolished as fuck drags it down somewhat but if you get past that it's goddamn amazing

the witcher 2 starts out amazing, keeps on being amazing, then ends with a bit of a damp fizzle, but the ride to the somewhat anticlimactic ending is one of the best RPG experiences I've had in years

it had them in oblivion, unfortunately they killed your performance more than burning a hole in your graphics card so rather than fixing them for future games they just removed them

No, it was a good game. it was just rough in some areas. the only major problem I saw is the animations, other then that, it's a solid game, and it's easy to get past the animations. It's weapon-play, and storyline are awesome.

it's greater than the sum of its parts, when you look at the tech behind it, the graphics, the voice acting, the combat etc it should by all counts be a bad game but it's fucking superb

and the mod community makes it even better, apart from the sex mods

This summed it up perfectly for me.

And mods are definitely no excuse. They can fix some things, but even with the most extensive graphical mods I was still dissatisfied with the result (not to mention it took FOREVER), and all weapon and armor mods are extremely OP and aren't integrated into the game at all. There's probably some good quests mods but they're still hardly integrated and inferior to dev quests. Nevermind that half of the mods are just "LOOK GUYS MEGA SUPER DOUBLE SAGGY H SIZE TITS"

you're downloading the wrong mother fucking god damn mods

the only thing I haven't seen be fixed is the running animations, and there are enough mods of quality out there to keep me entertained for the 5 years I've had the game

Well I spent a longass time putting mods together, figuring out how they were implemented ingame, and what the hell they did. I'm sorry I didn't spend another 5 hours finding better mods. I repeat, mods are not an excuse.

haven't played the leak, but I have been playing the first game and I have to say I prefer them complaining when you throw shit at them, it's hilarious

using the d3d10 renderer along with new vision and a hi-res text mod, doesn't change the graphics a huge amount but just makes them more bearable at high resolutions
