Performance is a bit choppier now but that's probably due to the SSAO, which is being rendered but not displayed on the screen because it's a piece of shit. needs more DoF and AA
does your character have cataracts [editline]27th June 2011[/editline] is the dx11/hr texture pack out now
I don't have it :v: that's a screenshot that I dug up from the Demo, I might get it though if the multiplayer is good and alive
needs more DoF and AA
Enabling AA will make my 4870 cry, I'll wait until I get my GTX 570. I do have some DoF there, it's a very subtle Distant blur shader which I think looks quite nice. If you can find me some very subtle DoF configs for the foreground I'd be happy to try them out. [editline]27th June 2011[/editline] oh my god [editline]27th June 2011[/editline] I could probably see the imperial city from here if I reinstalled REAVWD, but frankly I'd like to keep the game playable.

Last I checked it was dead, died really quickly. Sadly, because even though it was way too much like Call of Duty I liked it. [editline]27th June 2011[/editline] I'm installing World At War at the moment, liked that game.

Try that one out. I'm using the CrysisDoF shader for my depth of field and it looks quite nice (not too much but it's still noticeable)

Fuck you guys and your amazing Oblivion screenshots. I have gone on my own personal quest to achieve superiority over all of you, and I will post screenshots of my failure soon
I just realized I had AA forced in Ati tray tools, that's probably why my SSAO wasn't working.
get me some links to these mods, i just finished installing Oblivion for the billionth time
With the release of OBGEv3's "Luminance HDR" (i.e. decent tonemapping), I've found that my old shaderlist needed a bit of tweaking. The new HDR looks awesome, but there are still a few things you can add to make it look better. That second to last screenshot looks awesome
Had a fun game of Occupation Source last night. It's fun lighting up a guy with an lmg, then finishing off his mangled body with a revolver. I'm assuming lightshafts is a more advanced version of godrays.fx and Luminance HDR an adequate substitute for the built in HDR?
Could you post your ENBColorEffect.fx file in
tags for me? I tried messing with mine to tone it down a bit but it just made everything bright white :saddowns:
Looking better. A little colour correction via colormood really makes oblivion that much more atmospheric (same with Fallout New Vegas with the ENB Color palletes). SSAO is looking a bit weird but it was a quick job using the SSGI shader. No AA though. Runs at around 30FPS too, I can't wait to see what kind of performance I get once I get my new GPU.
I got the new Luminance HDR but there's no .fx file to add to the shaderlist. :tinfoil:
Oh, the fucking POM, PCS and HDR shaders are on the fucking OBGE nexus page, why the fuck did I not think of that fuck sake
i can't figure out how to use OBGE
You should have an item in your inventory in-game that you can activate, Shift+Clicking enables the shader, ctrl+Clicking disables it Activated ones have a + beside them, the others have a -
i can't figure out how to use OBGE
it's pretty simple, read the readmes or find a guide, I'm too pumped at discovering I can actually run oblivion well if I just trim my modlist down so it's not ridiculous to tell you how [editline]27th June 2011[/editline]
You should have an item in your inventory in-game that you can activate, Shift+Clicking enables the shader, ctrl+Clicking disables it Activated ones have a + beside them, the others have a -
I never used the support plugin, it was always broken for me.

Download OBGE core and then the effects package or whatever it's called from TESnexus Extract to oblivion/Data In the shaders folder there should now be a number of .fx files Add the ones you want to shaderlist.txt in the same folder Save Play [editline]27th June 2011[/editline] oh and if you've got the .esp file checked in your data files thing then uncheck it if you're going the shaderlist.txt way
I installed POM, Luminance HDR and PCS. I also Swapped out hte combined SSAO and GI shader for the purely SAO shader and it looks much better. SO much better in fact that I've turned shadows off entirely as I think SSAO is a more than adequate substitute. Yes, I know it's not meant to be used that way and yes they look a lot more like incoherent blobs than the original shadows, but i doesn't rape your CPU like Oblivion's horribly implemented shadows. [editline]27th June 2011[/editline]
whenever i use the item it opens the menu, i shift click an an option, then the menu closes and i can't re-open it until i restart Oblivion
This is why you use the shaderlist method, the support plugin is shite.

Fortunately, a good water texture replacement and the distortion effect from the Motion Blur plugin make a good substitute (not seen).

I really should reinstall Oblivion. [editline]x[/editline] I'm not sure of the latest version of OBGE has the Normal Line AA shader, but that's what I used- the effect looks kind of wonky at times, but for the most part it looks good and has a very small performance hit.
