What does resuscitate actually do?
What does resuscitate actually do?
It's for moving bodies that are stuck in walls/people who are revivable but the epipen doesn't work so you can revive them.
Damn, this thing is like a 4 gb download in total. My net is so pathetically slow that it's gonna take 3 hours for each part to download. Woe is me, I really want to give this a go on my day off today :(
Didn't this got cut off at some point?
I'll try this out eventually, sounds fun.
Didn't this got cut off at some point?
What do you mean, like stop being made and updated? Not at all.
Played project reality once a long time ago, and everyone on the server was a real arsehole. I tried my best to help out and work in a squad and all, but nobody wanted to accept me. I'm prepared to give it another go, despite not playing it for like a year. Anyone care to direct me to a nice server that might be slightly more accommodating towards noobs?
Most of the ones I join are typically noob friendly as long as the noob isn't a fucking retard. Tactial Gamer, HOG, Hardcore, CIA, just join an infantry squad and spawn as a rifleman unless otherwise specified. Don't sit at the crates waiting on a kit, rifleman is a perfectly acceptable universal engagement kit. Don't forget to read your manual, and after you feel like you understand some of what is going on as an infantryman, join a co-op (they are considered training) server and test out vehicles.
I was kicked out of a Taliban squad today for being an Infidel. Then I got banned from the server because "I needed to join a squad" yet every squad either kicked me out for bullshit reasons (Infidel/Not danish) or was locked/full.
Joined a 58/64 people server, ran following some random guys all the time, got killed randomly all the time never seeing the enemy even though I've observed everything before I came out of the corners. Made my first kill in about 2 hours, going to play more and see if I'll really like this.
sounds like you were trying to play solo and didnt join a squad. First game you play, join an infantry voip squad and tell them its your first game, most of the time the leader will be understanding. But far from every PR game is a good one, many times iv joined in the middle of a match, no open squads or no squad leaders with voip, end up running around solo getting killed or just plain quitting.

Anyone want to play tonight? Me and Guniv are up for a game or two. Remember, if you want to play later, or even right now, just come in our teamspeak, games.fortexhotel.com port: 9987.

Really would love too but have a project I need to finish last minute like usual.
No, I need to play the practice for this game for a few years before i'll be accepted enough to be able to actually play it. :v: At least that's the impression I got from last time I played it.
Play with friends (like us) and mistakes will be met with roaring laughter rather than a kick

Or stealing logi trucks and ramming into tanks. Or wasting bomb cars/garys. Or instantly crashing a plane. Or taking sniper kits to the frontline, then losing it, then taking the second one, and losing that too. Or taking HATs against Insurgents, getting killed, and giving Insurgents a HAT. Yeah.. theres a lot you can do wrong
Flew an entire round on Barracuda without any of my squad of 4 helis dying once, save for when I ctd'd mid flight. I also operated the mortars with two others on Asad Khal and we ended up with at least 32 kills between us. I probably won't be able to play until saturday. I have a joystick, what should I set everything for helicopter flight?
Its not the settings, its the engine. Don't hold the torque button. Wait for the helicopter to start before you press the torque button.

Practicing in singleplayer is a bitch though, things take forever to respawn and if you crash you have to wait even longer to get a pilot kit again.

I like to wait between 45-60 seconds, as after 30 seconds you can take off but the chopper feels slow, and still needs a bit to warm up. [editline]11th May 2011[/editline] I can help anyone with pretty much any question, I've been playing PR for 3 years now.
I can help anyone with pretty much any question, I've been playing PR for 3 years now.
Alright, here's a bit of a tech question. Why the fuck are there black circles all over the map and how can I fix it?
I can help anyone with pretty much any question, I've been playing PR for 3 years now.
Why doesn't my game look half as good as all these videos? The only thing I don't really have on is AA. Everything's on high otherwise. I could probably turn AA on but I didn't get around to it.

You need to go into your ATI control panel and set Catalyst AI to Quality or High Quality, that fixed it for me.
Why doesn't my game look half as good as all these videos? Need to get going on a US server. [editline]11th May 2011[/editline] Everyone is Euro it seems.

Helicopter controls are VERY sensitive, but this reduces as you gain speed. You need to know how helicopter flight works before you can really make the best use of them. You need to compensate for all the simulated forces in-flight otherwise you'll end up flying into the ground. When taking off you want your nose above the artificial horizon but not by much, but once you've got used to that you'll be able to take off from an idle position. Make sure you WAIT for the helicopters to start up, they take at least 30 seconds but this varies depending on which helicopter you're flying. Start with the UH-1s, they're the easiest, and keep practising with all the transport helis. The flight dynamics can vary greatly with different helicopters. Jump on TS and we'll join a training server and I'll teach you, since there's more to it than I can be arsed to type out. Also, I have the X/Y axes set to roll/pitch respectively, and I use W/S for throttle and A/D for Yaw.

Also, I have the X/Y axes set to roll/pitch respectively, and I use W/S for throttle and A/D for Yaw.
The problem with a joystick is that the joystick itself is used to move forwards/backwards in a driving fashion when on the ground. for example, when in kashar valley you are moving the a-10 to the runway, you have to use the joystick to steer it and accelerate on the ground. the throttle is used to put in enough engine power to take off. helicopters are bound to nosedive when taking off so the take off procedure is WAY different than any other game. it's really scary to fly helicopters in PR with a joystick because it's so sensitive to your movement until you're entirely in the air with that being said, the joystick is great to drive vehicles with, too. i prefer that over a racing wheel any day; especially coupled with rudders as your accel/brake.
All you need to do when taking off in helicopters is make tiny compensations for natural movement. Once you're high enough off the deck go full throttle and nose down about -5 to 10 degrees to start rapidly accelerating, then level out and cruise. At speeds above around 100km/h the tailrotor becomes redundant because the torque generated by the main is no longer enough to affect the rotation of the helicopter, and this also means that you must rely on banking to turn at relatively high speeds. It is pretty difficult to keep a helicopter stable, but the key is to apply minimal amounts of thrust to allow for manoevering.
What's the main strategy for piloting attack helicopters? I couldn't fly transport if I was forced to at gunpoint but I think I can do surprisingly well with the attack ones. However my main problem is avoiding AA and actually finding good points to attack. Tips?
