Much bigger. Like five times bigger than Oblivion, and there is more diverse stuff in it. Like in Oblivion it would be like every 2 feet was a castle. Or just plain trees. Which is boring. I'm not beating on Oblivion, it was a great game its environments felt rather dull and lacking compared to Morrowind. I'm getting off-topic. Whoops.
wrong! Oblivion is actually twice the size of Morrowind. the difference is that Morrowind features a shorter view distance, wayyy slower walk speed, no fast travel or horses and more varied/interesting terrain, which makes it feel much bigger.
They have computers stolen from NASA.
No but for me my morrowind doesn't change at all. I need good settings.

Hell I went from the Skall Village to the ghostgate with nothing but common clothes and Scrolls of Icarin fligh,1 feather spell, and boots of blinding speed.

Actually I use a mod that rebalances factions. Makes services available to members only, and you need to be in higher ranks to recieve higher services. Good shit.

I posted this in the creepy thread but it's relevant here so I'll copy it. I remember there was a mod for Morrowind, something like "horror mod". It adds a whole new "world" right outside Suran. You go in investigating murders and wind up in hell itself. There was a part where you had to turn on these vases in the right order and then a door was supposed to open. I finally figured it out and was walking to the door, confident in my victory, when out of nowhere I heard a ear splitting screech/laugh thing(I had headphones up really high) and a guy called lucifuges popped out(he looked a lot like a lich but I believe he had a custom model) and started attacking you. No text box(that I can remember) just his face, in your face, then a giant sword hitting you. After I killed him(and reloaded previous saves to kill him repeatedly for scaring me like that) I stopped playing the mod forever. If you guys ever get Morrowind for PC I really recommend that mod, it is creepy at parts, a lot is left to be desired for story, but overall it sends you to a whole new world and adds more straight gameplay hours than almost any other mod I've played. Edited: Also there was a city of the damned with ghost children and a butcher chopping people up and other creepy shit. Really fun. ^ oh god... :ohdear:
Those of you who don't like to walk around long distances from place A to place B, you can use the artificial Fast Travel method. * Open console by pressing the button next to 1. * Type like this: coc "*name of town*" That will get you straight to the named town. If you want to get to a specific building inside a town you type this: coc "*name of town* , *name of place inside the town*" Example: coc "ald-ruhn, the rat in the pot" This will get me inside the rat in the pot bar in ald-ruhn.
I'm still pretty new to this game so far i have been getting around by using boots of blinding speed and the minimap
I'm still pretty new to this game so far i have been getting around by using boots of blinding speed and the minimap
I sold those boots just now. Would be great if they didn't have that one little detail to them.
I sold those boots just now. Would be great if they didn't have that one little detail to them.
I think if you get resist magic or nighteye stuff then you can see with them.

It's boring generic euro-castles everywhere. Even then, thanks to the games "fast-travel" thing you won't really care about the boring world. [editline]28th December 2010[/editline]
I think if you get resist magic or nighteye stuff then you can see with them.
Resist magic works. Another great reason to play an Orc!
Yeah the more resist magic you can get the better you can see, even with like 30% you can kinda see
yeah just make a 100% resist magic for 1 second, open your inventory and put them on. vóila! or possibly voíla!
That horror mod is just horrible. I got it installed, went to suran, went to the cavern, walked a couple of meters, freaked out, run out. I know am a pussy.
morrowind > oblivion in pretty much every way not graphics, obviously. but the art direction is loads better
I'm still pretty new to this game so far i have been getting around by using boots of blinding speed and the minimap
I forgot where you get the boots isn't outside Seyda Neen or Ebonheart?
I forgot where you get the boots isn't outside Seyda Neen or Ebonheart?
There's a lady south-westish of Ebonheart in the middle of the road wanting you to escort her to a village, In return she'll give you the boots. Although I think you can just kill her for them.
my favorite part of the game is the guy who falls out of the sky and has those scrolls of mystical flight or whatever. that was awesome
I forgot where you get the boots isn't outside Seyda Neen or Ebonheart?
I found the lady directly east from Gnaar mok. Just go to Gnaar Mok and start going east until you run into the lady.
Apparently the game doesn't want me equipping Imperial broadswords. I have the ED graphics thing all compiled into one package installed, so that might have something to do with it. I equipped it, then the game made a really loud noise and crashed. Any ideas?
my favorite part of the game is the guy who falls out of the sky and has those scrolls of mystical flight or whatever. that was awesome
its the perfect thing since it's right after you leave the first town what a first thing to see after leaving
its the perfect thing since it's right after you leave the first town what a first thing to see after leaving
I never saw him until my third playthrough of the game. You have to take a different route than the normal "go to Balmora" route most people do. I think it's the route to Hla Oad. Needless to say I was mindfucked when I first saw him. I had so many questions, so few answers. I think someone needs to make a Tarhiel quest mod.
First time I played and I saw the value of the scrolls I thought "DOSH"
