First time I played and I saw the value of the scrolls I thought "DOSH"
I tried to use them. Many times. I thought if I just did it right I would have the ultimate fast transport.
Never panned out unfortunately. :frown:
my favorite part of the game is the guy who falls out of the sky and has those scrolls of mystical flight or whatever. that was awesome
i didnt know what the scrolls did so i didnt save before i used them at level 2
By the way I think Oblivion fast travel is based on Icarian Flight technology.
By the way I think Oblivion fast travel is based on Icarian Flight technology.
Indeed. Perhaps your character has Invisible Boots Of Soft Landings That Only Work With Fast Travel?
It's a hard item to get in Morrowind, I've heard.
I found the lady directly east from Gnaar mok. Just go to Gnaar Mok and start going east until you run into the lady.
Or, take the road directly north out of Caldera. you'll run into her almost immediately
Where the hell are the Ogrims? Haven't seen one yet.
Those of you who don't like to walk around long distances from place A to place B, you can use the artificial Fast Travel method.
* Open console by pressing the button next to 1.
* Type like this: coc "*name of town*"
That will get you straight to the named town. If you want to get to a specific building inside a town you type this:
coc "*name of town* , *name of place inside the town*"
Example: coc "ald-ruhn, the rat in the pot"
This will get me inside the rat in the pot bar in ald-ruhn.
IMO, a good adventure is about the journey, not the destination. You can miss out on a lot of content by skipping like that.
Where the hell are the Ogrims? Haven't seen one yet.
A lot of the creatures are leveled, I think. They'll show up later.

you just have to cast slowfall or something like 10 seconds before you hit the ground
they sorta work, but rarely can you actually get a considerable distance towards where you need to go
you just have to cast slowfall or something like 10 seconds before you hit the ground

# = Mountain
@ = You
* = Ground
! = Destination

That would be fun.
I believe the Ogrims show up at around 18 or so. You can always find pre-placed Ogrims in some caves though. I found one who had his own throne and everything, and ruled over some dead smugglers.

Yeah. There's also this guy trapped in a room up high who will give you his fancy skirt that the scamps made him wear if you wipe out all the enemies. :v:
I just got this game, it's really cool. I was walking trough a swamp with fog setting on and I suddenly hear alot of random screeches. I get creeped the fuck out when two fucking thousand nix hounds appear from fucking nowhere and bite the shit out of me.
I had an iron claymore or someth so I stabbed the fuck out of them all.
Ogrim is level 11, so it probably appears around those levels. They also appear most often in the grazelands region.
Ogrim Titan is 15, and thus probably appears around there.
Just finished Bloodmoon again yesterday, and the damn [sp]labyrinth[/sp] was really making me rage. So many werewolves, it's not even funny.

I installed silentjubjub's compiled ED pack, and for some reason I can't start Tribunal. As in I don't get attacked by the Dark Brotherhood. Is there any mod in that pack that changes how it starts or is it bugged?

Just uncheck DelayedDBAttack.esp
You won't be able to start Tribunal until you complete the main quest as that mod makes it where you won't get attacked by the Dark Brotherhood unless you complete the main storyline first.
I'm having a few problems with the newest MGE, when I first prettied my morrowind up and got MGE distant lands was working with shaders and all.
Then I decided to remove that version of MGE and get the newest beta version and Distant lands stopped working then I uninstalled that and went back to the latest stable version and MGE is broken for that also.

That makes so much more sense TBH. I always thought it odd that [sp]Helseth would deem you a threat at lvl 1 right when you come off the boat and are just an anonymous ex-con[/sp]. Also it's just plain annoying getting attacked every time you rest when you're level one, especially if you're a magic or stealth character that traditionally has more trouble at the beginning anyways.
Great money though.

Did you follow the instructions to a tee? I can't say for sure but I think you have to remove pretty much every trade of MGE before updating it to the newest version.
Speaking of which, on the Xbox version you can't start Tribunal until Level 6.
It's a pain in the ass. I want my stupid[sp]Daedric Wakizashi for my short-blade-users[/sp].
[editline]30th December 2010[/editline]
However I don't play the Xbox version, so all is well.

Wait...you get a deadric wakzashi from dark brotherhood? What the hell is that? In PC they have silver daggers.

Glass tantos for me, probably because of a mod though. :v:

Yea, that's what I'm thinking.
I know they have some better shit once you are higher level but I never had anything drop off them besides a silver dagger for any level below like...6-8.
So I was on my way to Suran. I wasn't originally going to Suran, I was on my way to Balmora but I got side tracked by a couple of small quests that ended with me near Suran. Anyways, I'm on my way to Suran when I spot a small tomb. Figuring it'll be a quick run through I go in. The stairs immediatedly inside lead to a largish room with the skeleton of a noble guard on a sort of alter. There are a few ghosts that I take care of and I move out of the room into the next where I find a key for the tomb. I backtrack and find another, smaller room, with another noble guard skeleton laid out on an alter. I loot the room of it's bonemeal and I head out into the final, locked room, which, as you probably guess by now, I unlocked with the key I picked up. I kill the lone Greater Bonewalker in there and head up the set of stairs to leads to one of those sand pits with the bones in it and two chests. One chest was empty and the other was locked. I see if the key would open it and all of a sudden a message pops up saying I feel very cold. Next thing I know I have these two skeleton champions coming at me, one with a claymore and the other with a sword and shield. It was a really tough fight that resulted in me dying a lot but I finally managed to kill them. I open the last chest and inside is half a set of Orcish armour. I'm not trained in Medium armour but it'll sell for a pretty penny. Twas pretty cool.

Name of the tomb? I remember it but I can't remember what the tombs name was.
Also, I can't loot bonemeal from tombs at lower levels anymore. I got a mod that adds a 25% chance for a monster to spawn from disturbing their resting place now. It also has a 1% to spawn a level 30 greater ancestral ghost thing no matter what level you are. It happened to me at least twice and low levels and I never did it again.
Apparently another thing the mod adds in is if you disturb enough dead's resting places the dead will disturb you while resting, which is not a curse I would like to live with at a low level :v:.
Is bonemeal even useful?
[editline]30th December 2010[/editline]
Also I would like to know (from some of the Morrowind "experts" in this thread) if there is any sense of randomization in Morrowind.
Like the dungeons.
Is bonemeal even useful?
If you want restore agility or telekinesis potions, then yes, considering it is so abundant. However in vanilla MW restore agility is a lot harder to get anyways, because Sload Soap is required and that's not found naturally and only a few keep a restocking supply. Tribunal adds in some ingredients that make restore agility more feasible though(and really if you aren't playing with Tribunal at this point you deserve to not have any restore agility potions you bastard).
Telekinesis, on the other hand, are piss easy to make anyways since they require either scuttle or alit hide, both of which are incredibly common.
Also I would like to know (from some of the Morrowind "experts" in this thread) if there is any sense of randomization in Morrowind.

In the wild there are "spawn points" for different creatures, and you may or may not see these creatures depending on your level and circumstance. So in a way it's randomized. You might see a Winged Twilight one time walking through the grazelands but maybe not next time.
On the other hand smugglers dens are pretty much set in stone. The people inside are NPCs who have certain gear, certain skills, etc. What you find in addamasartus will be the same each time you go through.
That said items in crates are often leveled, meaning semi-random. What you find in the crates depends on level and chance.

You can make restore agility and telekinesis potions with it.
There's no randomization in dungeon structure, or in the items that aren't in containers. Loot from corpses and some chests are random though.
Damn, ninjad by a better post.
I've spent so much time playing the Elder Scrolls games, it's one of the few game series that I know inside and out, gameplay and lore-wise.

Me too. Morrowind is my all time favorite game, partially because of the nostalgia since it was the second PC game I ever played(Starcraft being the first) and partially because of the abundance of customization added via mods. Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout NV, they just never stand up with the amount of good mods that Morrowind had.
