What's with people complaining about cliff racers? I'm only level 12 and I can get kill them in AT MOST two hits and somtimes one.
Walk. Get attacked by cliff racer from behind. Walk 2 meters. Repeat step 2. Repeat step 3. Repeat step 2. And so on, that's why I hate them.
Damn, why won't mine look like that? http://filesmelt.com/dl/Morrowind_2010-12-19_17-02-20-26.png Best i managed so far, sigh. I really like Vivec in the distance though.
Fiddle with the Distant Blur settings. Personally I think yours looks quite good though, the blur helps.
Fiddle with the Distant Blur settings. Personally I think yours looks quite good though, the blur helps.
I'm quite happy with the settings i have reached now. Same view distance, with a bit less blur. 30 - 45'ish fps. Minimum mesh size at near distance to 200 made all the difference, aswell as 75% mesh detail. Quite nice. Pretty sure that other picture was everything maxed, and very unplayable anyway.

I'd like to know the average fps on that. Because my 295GTX gets raped by my measly vanilla Morrowind with distant land.
I wanna know what textures they're using
give me ALL THE MODS to make it look that beautiful

My Morrowind graphics extender won't work
this game would have been phenomenal if half of your attacks didn't miss
this game would have been phenomenal if half of your attacks didn't miss
That's normal if you wield an axe while your skill with it is 5 :/ I admit that it's quite frustrating to keep missing stupidly like that, though.
You don't actually miss, if you just play the darn game. You need to raise your skills. [editline]19th December 2010[/editline] I find the combat in Morrowind better than Oblivion aswell. Never liked how you often ended up slashing for ages just to take down someone. Combat is much faster in Morrowind somehow.
Get off boat. Seyda Neen. Give Fargoth ring. Go to lighthouse. Murder woman. Take everything. Sell it. Take stuff from stump. Murder Fargoth. READY TO GO.
Get off boat. Give Fargoth his ring. Find Dead Tax Collector & Take money. Loot the falling guy. Go kill the killer. Talk to the chargen old guy, get reward. Talk to Nord in Tradehouse. Go to lighthouse & kill bitch in there. Wait for Fargoth to deposit his shit. Rob him. Sell everything. Easy 1.5-2k right off the bat. [editline]19th December 2010[/editline] Sweet replacer based on concept art.
these graphics mods take forever to install but i am a major graphics whore faggot 12 year old so i have to do it
this game would have been phenomenal if half of your attacks didn't miss
Why the hell does everyone say this? I have NEVER experienced this, and I play a Nord Warrior.
Why the hell does everyone say this? I have NEVER experienced this, and I play a Nord Warrior.
because they start out as a mage or something like that, and can't use the dagger since they don't have short sword skill, and they also started morrowind AFTER oblivion, like i did, so they're used to attacks hitting.

[editline]19th December 2010[/editline] Except I would loot the falling guy last.

[editline]19th December 2010[/editline] and is sneaking/pickpocketing/lockpick the same as in oblivion?

Guys, this is my specs: AMD Athlon 2650 1.6 Ghz Processor 856 or so RAM NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE Integrated Windows XP SP3 What setting can I run MGE without lag? Im willing to sacrifice sexyness for performance, I run vanilla MW on all settings maxed without lag.
I'd recommend just staying away from MGE. Your gain would be miniscule.
Thought so. If I install it, can I turn of the Graphic increasers but activate some of the shaders? As I found some cool ass shaders that would help (Ownership Indicator).
Also the iron saber was an amazing first weapon iirc

Hello. I picked up Morrowind GOTY for 10 euros from a sale, because i loved oblivion (I still play it). Any beginner tips / mods that make it easier? Already got graphics extender Galsiahs Character Development (Or something like that) Patch 1.6.5 Some texture pack, looks pretty good to me. Apart from character models. Two mudcrabs killed me and i ragequit (A couple of minutes ago), but i'm giving it a second chance 'cause i've heard the beginning is boring and it's loads better than oblivion in the endgame. Are there any mods that make the navigation easier? Or mods that make the HUD look more modern? It's like playing mount & blade because of the inventory at the moment :v:

Go downstairs, get armor based on your skills. I recommend getting an enchanted weapon from Balmora, too, but it doesn't matter.
I've only edited the .ini and game a little bit, and it's already crashing on exit. :)
I've only edited the .ini and game a little bit, and it's already crashing on exit. :)
Quite a few of my games crash on exit. I don't care because I hit exit anyways...
