Hello. I picked up Morrowind GOTY for 10 euros from a sale, because i loved oblivion (I still play it). Any beginner tips / mods that make it easier? Already got graphics extender Galsiahs Character Development (Or something like that) Patch 1.6.5 Some texture pack, looks pretty good to me. Apart from character models. Two mudcrabs killed me and i ragequit (A couple of minutes ago), but i'm giving it a second chance 'cause i've heard the beginning is boring and it's loads better than oblivion in the endgame. Are there any mods that make the navigation easier? Or mods that make the HUD look more modern? It's like playing mount & blade because of the inventory at the moment :v:
The sex mods :v:

Maybe there's still a registry key or something.
where did you install it? try installing it to C:/Morrowind

I know it's stupid to ask this, but isnt there an Uninstall button somewhere in the autoplay?
Actually never mind, I opened the drive and just started the setup from there :downs:

HOW do I install Wrye Mash

:/ there is no installer or readme
:/ there is no installer or readme
MY BRAIN. I swear i read this comment somewhere else, or did i open the same thread twice. I'm so confused.

Though to be honest once you get you skill with a weapon past 35-40 you'll hit pretty consistantly, ESPEICALLY if your agility rating is high. So you could just keep playing till then. I DO NOT reccomend serious adventuring low level... keep things at/around Seyda Neen and balmora for simplicity sake, as that is a fairly low/mid level area. Once you feel ready, head to Balmora to start the main quest. This is also where you will find all the shops you need and the major guilds you can join, which have plenty of beginner quests (the guildmasters will run out of quests and tell you to go to another guild hall once you complete them). The mainquest doesn't really pick up pace unitil you get to level 10-15 or so and the guy will even tell you to come back later after you progress to a certain point. It's not like Oblivion's where there was an immediate sense of urgency and you could complete the entire thing in one dedicate run through.

I have finished it with a level 5 character, up to a level 30 character. It's all about what kind of character you got. Mages can generally do quests a lot earlier than warriors. Tribunal and Bloodmoon is a different story however. Don't start those until you are in the level 20 area.
God damn it, you guys made me install Morrowind. Also, a bunch of the mods won't work with me because I don't have the expansions.
Why don't you own the expansions? It's like, hard to not get a version without them. (Also I'm gonna add a "Fuck you" note to everyone who talks about how "OMAHGAWD I CANT HIT STOOF")
Link?
I don't have one, I just saw that pic posted in the ED thread and reposted it here. Try looking around in there. so closed to finishing modding, and i completed the tutorial with no problems, not even a crash on exit! i am excited. knock on wood
I lived off the Xbox version, before I was into PC's. To be honest, after I purchased it for the PC, the only difference I could tell between them was the damn loading times, they were insane.
Same here, first time I player Morrowind was on the Xbox, and I played the shit out of it, later got the PC version but I haven't been able to beat it once on the PC. I always get distracted by mods and end up breaking my game. I can't figure out where to put them. Also, have you had an issue with the huge fight that breaks out in the new chargen sequence never coming to an end? I've stood there for 5 minutes and they haven't stopped fighting and I can't go anywhere.
i need to know how to get loads of money for a mage so i can get all the alchemy tools and make super potions
There's a grandmaster set of alchemical tools in the attic of the Caldera Mage's Guild that you can steal.
There's a grandmaster set of alchemical tools in the attic of the Caldera Mage's Guild that you can steal.
oh my god ....how do i get the money for the trip
Play it vanilla first.
yes and no. it's worthwhile updating the graphics at least, leave the gameplay alone, though. [editline]20th December 2010[/editline]
oh my god ....how do i get the money for the trip
You cant find 7 coins? [editline]20th December 2010[/editline]
There's a grandmaster set of alchemical tools in the attic of the Caldera Mage's Guild that you can steal.
I thought it was a master set, not grandmaster. Make sure you don't carry them in your inventory when you steal them. If you inevitably piss off a guard, he'll take them from you.

Seriously, those who complain about Morrowind's combat are just beating a dead horse. Once you get a few levels under your belt you won't even notice it. [editline]20th December 2010[/editline]
oh my god ....how do i get the money for the trip
Walk there? The trip to Balmora from Sedya Neen isn't a long one, the one from Balmora to Caldera, even shorter.
that encyclopedia dramatica thread needs to be trimmed or something, i'm not going to download so many mods just to find out one of them broke something and i have to pinpoint that exact one
If you follow the guide exactly (not such a hard thing to do really) it won't break anything. I just set up Morrowind following it this evening.
Installed a couple of lists of mods (SA + old FP one), no order whatsoever, and after a quick fix of morrowind.ini game works fine. Will be playing for the rest of the night.
Fuck you facepunch. I see the M&B thread, and I was like "Fuck yeah I miss that game, lets install it." Then I see the NWN thread, and am like "Oh shit, gotta install that too, again" And now this..... Fuck you. brb installing morrowind
Is there a animation mod that replaces this shitty walking animations?
