I'm interested in whether the reapers reap other galaxies too. I mean, they live in dark space and they have mass relays, is it possible for them to relay to other galaxies to destroy the sentient life there as well?
They're fucked if they ever find themselfs in the WH40k universe...

Thats like saying "well super mario would be fucked if he found himself in the Doom universe" :colbert:
The only thing ME and WH40K have in common is "space" and "future".

Amazon dosen't take Pay Pal, figures... there goes pre-ordering ME3.
Well, It has a fixed point at which it can't go back further. The earliest point where sentient life could have developed in the universe was around 12.7 billion years ago, So the cycle could have been going on for quite a while
The universe is only about 13.7 billion years old (give or take a few hundred million). It took something like 200 million years for the first stars to form (so that was 13.5 billion years ago). There probably wouldn't have been enough generations of stars to have synthesised enough elements heavier than helium for planets (or life) to form for... a billion or two years (at a guess). So let's average that out at 1.5 billion years for the synthesis of necessary elements. Now we're down to 12 billion years.
Terrestrial planets are thought to take about 100 million to a billion years to coalesce, so let's go 500 million, somewhere in the middle. We're down to 11.5 billion years now and we have a terrestrial planet for life to develop on.
Life took about a billion years to appear on Earth, so lets assume it takes the same everywhere: 10.5 billion years now.
It took life 3.5 billion years for life to get to this point, so, again, assuming the same elsewhere that'd take the final number down to 7 billion years ago.
So using what we know about the universe at the very soonest life would probably have developed 7 billion years ago. At one cycle every 50000 years that's 140000 (one hundred and forty thousand) cycles.

I blame Wikipedia for my temporary loss of knowledge about stellar mechanics and astrophysics
Have they said if Mass Effect 3 on Steam is going to be affected by the Steam vs. Origin thing? It'd be cool to own all three games on the same service.

I heard it was gonna be an origin exclusive, but I could be wrong.
Shit, I guess I'll just order from Amazon. Not a fan of Origin.

Nothing has been said about any other games from EA on Steam, only Crysis 2 was pulled out, probably because Crytek did something 'illegal' (let's use this term) so it was removed. But Alice: Madness Returns was released recently, so I have hope that the same happens to DICE's BF3 and ME3.

Goddamit Sltungle, I was finishing up a post sorta kinda like this just a couple minutes ago (did not scroll down, you see) and you just had to come along and answer it an hour ago :argh:
GOD DAMMIT.Why is it so hard to choose "Galaxy Map" WITHOUT having the option disappear in Mass effect 1?! FUCK YOU GAME I DON'T WANNA TALK TO PRESSLY I WANT TO GO TO NOVERIA.

What
Are you standing on the commander's thing? 'cause I never had trouble with that.

Crysis 2 was pulled possibly due to Origin-only DLC.
Wrex.
And someone should mod it to bark "Shepard." every time you talk to it.
Shepard Shepard Shepard Shepard Shepard Shepard Shepard Shepard Shepard
Shepard
and then it tackles you from behind.

But when I step on the podium the option goes to "Speak to Pressly, then I have to keep inching myself just a little bit up every time, because if I go to far up the option disappears.

I just hope they're only on Origin to get people to buy them early or the CE shit. Or something.

That sounds freaky. Move your mouse away when you approach the galaxy map so it doesn't lock to Pressly?

Weird, I swear for me Pressley wasn't even near enough to talk to when I was at the Galaxy map
Crysis 2 was pulled possibly due to Origin-only DLC.
Illogical because Crysis has non-Origin DLC (you have to get via mycrisis.com), similar to the Bioware's DLC for ME2.
I just hope they're only on Origin to get people to buy them early or the CE shit. Or something.
It will be similar to Dragon Age 2. Signature Edition to EA Store (at the time) and normal version to Steam.
Yeah but it's Origin and not BWstore thing
Personally I'd be willing to put up with Origin since I don't really see myself buying anything other then ME3 from EA in the near, or far, future.
Finally got it to work went to planet Trebin to do the missing survey team. I fought the thresher maw, but its melee attack put me underground. Now my Mako keeps flying everywhere making loop-de-loops. :v:
Also, are there any mods for the inventory? I'm tired of it's horrible-ness.

Thresher Maws like to toss me into the sky. Makes going down fun until you hit the ground :v:
And I know of no mods, since I use none. Sorry

There's definately a dirty joke to be made here somewhere

Thresher Maws are a Freudian nightmare. Look at those bulbous sacs hanging out of their mouths.
My friend told me about an unmade movie script he saw on the net. I can't remember the name but a defineing moment near the end.
These guys who are in the movie need to destroy a scientists giant facility. Lots of shit happens like one of the main characters leaves his comrades to set off a bomb that will destroy the facility. His final orders are activate it and get out, he agrees as his LI is on the plane away. After setting the timer he is shot in the legs and cant go back he has time for one last call as he tells his LI that he's sorry. The scene ends as he salutes and the nuke he's leaning on start to glow. The others escape the the blast zone just in time.
Sound familiar?
