Shepard's heroic sacrifice? Causing the Sun to implode and destroy the Reaper fleet.
Now that would be a sacrifice.
Given how dark energy is apparently killing Dholen (Haestrom's star) in ME2 I wouldn't rule using the star (or others) as a weapon in ME3. Unless the Reapers are destabilising the star themselves.
That would be awesome, But it would have to be ether tech from the collector base or the Reapers. I don't think any of the council races have anything powerful enough As for the ME is not SciFi thing, My late input: ME is SciFi, But i would not describe it as Hard SciFi. Space Opera would probably be more fitting. If you want Hard SciFi, Check out Neal Asher. I think his stuff falls under that description

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dyson_sphere
They obtained an ultimate goal in this time period- to create a Dyson Sphere, which could house every single geth program. I'd probably give it a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10. 1 being extremely soft sci-fi (basically just fantasy but set in the future), 10 being hard sci-fi (basically just... science... no fiction)
mass effect 2 on insanity = :smithicide:
mass effect 2 on insanity = :smithicide:
Man up Private, Time to show some krogan balls
Now that would be a sacrifice.
If we can't have it, nobody can.
mass effect 2 on insanity = :smithicide:
Just beat it on insanity for the 1st time. 100% too. :smug:
If you use the Tactical cloak on Arrival while you are being sneaky, they still react.
This is starting to bug me out. Play ME1, go to galaxy map, zoom out by pressing X. Total play time on ME1 62 hours (tried to level to 60, got to 58. Fuck) Start new game on ME2. Go to galaxy map, zoom out by pressing X. Exits galaxy map. Happened to me four times in a row. I feel like an idiot.
mass effect 2 on insanity = :smithicide:
Really, it isn't that bad. I think it can be pretty hard with Vanguard but otherwise every other class has very useful abilities.
One thing weird about ME1 is, when your female shepard and have a romance with Liara and also Kaidan they will be fighting, you can say "Why can't I have you both ?" And Kaidan says no. Why would he say no to that ?
Because he's a loser.
Get one good look at Kaidan and you'll find out why.
I try, but I just see him suddenly breaking out into Space Elvis, complete with lights and weird suit.
That's what that shotgun is for.
Question of the day: Would the redundant nervous system of a krogan mean that they could survive an "encounter" with an Ardat-Yakshi?
Question of the day: Would the redundant nervous system of a krogan mean that they could survive an "encounter" with an Ardat-Yakshi?
No. It's redundant in that a localised trauma will not shut it down. It is all connected though so an Ardat-Yakshi nerve power surge kind of thing would still burn it to hell. That and it would damage all sensitive tissue the neuroconductive fluid travels through so it's still likely to make them braindead.
Question of the day: Would the redundant nervous system of a krogan mean that they could survive an "encounter" with an Ardat-Yakshi?
I'm sure Morinth would convince them that was the case.
mass effect 2 on insanity = :smithicide:
Maybe if you're blind or have only just discovered how to use your hands
Maybe if you're blind or have only just discovered how to use your hands
That's a little unfair. Insanity can be a colossal pain in the ass at times (fuckin' Overlord DLC). Usually what it comes down to is a dramatic revision of your tactics. On Veteran and below, you can go in guns blazing with no real consequence. You don't have that luxury on Hardcore or Insanity.
Maybe if you're blind or have only just discovered how to use your hands
yeah, try to aim accurately with those damn analogs. well ive gotten past garrus recruitment mission without too much hassle, the part where I had to close the last shuttle door was a pain though. My tactic before was for enemies to patiently come out of cover and then take few shots from them, but with garruses health slowly going down I couldn't really take my time.
yeah, try to aim accurately with those damn analogs.
'okay just gotta move the stick up a bit...okay left some, fuck overdid it, move right a bit fuck he moved god damn he saw me argh shit'
yeah, try to aim accurately with those damn analogs.
I take back what I said. I can't aim for shit with a controller. I assumed you were playing on PC.
yeah, try to aim accurately with those damn analogs.
I think we found your problem there... Gears of War has the console TPS mechanics down, but Mass Effect always struggled with it. I play ME2 on PC so I can be pinpoint accurate, but I've tried the console version and I have a remarkably hard time getting all my shots going where I want.
yeah, try to aim accurately with those damn analogs.
I beat ME2 on insanity with those more than once. Controllers are easy as shit to use, then again I've been using them since the PS1.
I beat ME2 on insanity with those more than once. Controllers are easy as shit to use, then again I've been using them since the PS1.
I've had every console since the PS1 (except the Wii), so I'm very used to controllers and can do just fine with any of them. Accurate aiming is STILL a pain in the ass, even with auto-aim. Joysticks are simply not made for precision. Most of my shooters are on PC now, save for console exclusives like Uncharted.
roflmao... every race in ME is based on human geometry is completely compatible with a human-centric biosphere, and even has the same type of generalized cultural transactions that don't even require the remotest social translation to recognize.
Hanar Volus Elcor Rachni
I am nowhere near the damaged collector ship, but still would be nice if someone could give me advice on how to get through it on insanity (Playing as a soldier).
