Wow just seen the collectors edition on Game the amount of ingame content you miss out on in the normal edition just seems ridiculous and there's really nothing there to justify the £70 £45 would be my limit
Just when I was getting excited for Mass Effect again
While CE is great, I just want the blasted game.
While CE is great, I just want the blasted game.
That's my point exactly I want my game to be complete not have little bits cut off and put in a package that 3 times the price of normal CE should have extra non game related stuff rather than be artificially enhanced by vandalising the base product, Bioware have lost so much goodwill from me by doing this with all their games
I think this is more EA's doing, but eh. Its irritating they make the DLC 'canon', making you miss story elements that should've been included in the original. I don't know, I just want to play it now. :frown:

Might wanna research publishers, SKU and developers before making such claims.
What happened to Douche Shepard? That comic was hilarious.

He found his porn halfway through the recruitment process, called it quits and ran off to Omega with his stash.

I know. I had the same exact problem.
If Arrival is anything to judge by then all the DLC will be integrated into the story but if you didn't actually play them, you'll just get the default option. Liara [sp]becoming the Shadow Broker[/sp] is a pretty big plot element to try and have two possible outcomes for people who did play LotSB and people who didn't.
Anyone remember Shaddow Bruce?
I hope hubs are bigger.
It was pretty annoying to visit the citadel, and see how great it looks, but have it be so small. Same with Illium and Omega.
I mean sure, they weren't too small, but compared to the citadel from ME1, ME2's was tiny. Though I get it if they didn't make the citadel that big again.
I liked how big the citadel was in ME1. It added to the immersion
The citadel was pretty big, but if you walk everywhere you can see it's actually a lot smaller than it seems.
I'd prefer ME2's concentrated hub worlds over ME1's as they both have pretty much the same amount of content, but ME2 requires less walking for my fat lazy Shep.

Yeah but instead you have to fly half way across the galaxy to get some armour.

That's what irks me. Some of the DLC's have some serious story elements that affect the story later on, and you're given the standard neutral course if you didn't get the DLC. Which begs the question "Why include major story events in optional downloadable content?" Damn it all. :frown:

Probably because the average player would fuck around the citadel and yell "IM LOST" when rapid transport is available. And exploring is just too hard for most kids these days. See: People ranting about the mining system for example.
I actually got lost a lot on the citadel my first time playing

I would at times, but then I saw the arrows and shit saying "WARDS THIS WAY!" and stuff. Helped me around :v:
The wards are really tiny once you explore it.

Like Chora's den is just down the hall from the med clinic and across the corridor is the lower market.
I wish ME had some sort of space brothel like in the books. I'd like to pay for a hanar hooker and not knowing what to do with it

I think there's a magazine in Omega that you can buy, Fornax. Basically alien porn. They come in special editions, like Krogasm .
:q:
I still find it amazing that fornax is one of the first things the player can buy.
for 5 credits I expected to open it up. what a ripoff
like a getting a handjob from a krogan
I want the volus edition!

That sounds incredibly painful and unsatisfying.
Shepard is my battlemaster, he has no snatch

Some women are into that. Mind you, most of those are krogan
I really want to fulfill the reproduction requests I got from tuchanka

Considering that the game is perfectly balanced without them, they are hardly a part of base product.
And what's with the feeling of entitlement over development resources?
Unless you are an investor, you have no say on the development process of the game. A lot of resources are cut from the alpha and beta as well, do you have some sort of ownership over those as well?
You are entitled over what you are advertised, and what you buy.
If you don't think that a game is worth it's price tag, then don't buy it, it's as simple as that.

I know obviously EA has some part in it but I guess I feel annoyed at Bioware because I love their games but causing me to miss out on content for whatever reason just makes me not want to bother
I never got around to drawing those mass effect anime parodies.
