The femshep version is only slightly better than male Shepard.
The jacket is ridiculous, why would I wear a jacket that thick, obviously not for warmth if there's no sleeves.
I hate that outfit. I hate when I see people choosing it in videos. It looks so bad, especially when you consider how awesome the Kasumi DLC formal wear is.
Even some humans on Omega dress better than that.

It may be awful, but it sure does suit FP shepard
It may be awful, but it sure does suit FP shepard
Not really fair, Since Facepunch Shepard could wear the skin of a skinned Varren to a formal party and still be slick as fuck

oh god what was the point of that hideous thing.
I wouldn't say the femshep is any better, she looks like a farmer or something

Those menus are sexy but if that's going to be the final skill tree...
Ah Kotor similar 1-sided paragade bar. Hope that squaddies actually have effects to your decisions, like carth hating you doing anything evil.
I like the new paragon/renegade bar more.
ugh, that's gonna suck.
I enjoyed being able to indulge in a little renegade from time to time.
Those menus are sexy but if that's going to be the final skill tree...
Why? If you add all of the possible evolutions, it's bigger than the one of ME1 and 2 combined.
From a WIP Wrex costume:

still ugly
Was going for more "pretty soldier" than "whore"
Don't diss Whore Soldier
10+ Chance of dodge against human males
Was going for more "pretty soldier" than "whore"
Funny, since your Shepard is a modified version of my "whore" Shepard.
Why fight over ladies when you can have this stud?

Happy birthday, Arvuti :buddy:
I know it was posted a few pages ago but I am going to make that normandy gundam. I'll draw it if I have to.

If this is a movie poster where can I buy a ticket?
Regarding the paragon/renegade slider, if you look closely there are two indicators, a red and a blue one. Maybe it will work as before, with you being able to take a renegade action without damaging your paragon, but it's just shown in a different way - and not a single marker that goes up and down.
As in the two bars move independent of each other, paragon only goes up and renegade only goes down.
That would make sense, even if it's pointless.
I stilll wish they'd use Charm/Intimidate skills or a single skill for them conversation shits.
Would be shitloads better than Paragon/Renegade tie-in :smithicide:
I've never seen someone so inarticulate use so many big words. Scientific feasibility isn't what ultimately decides scifi, Mass Effect is a lot of things but it's always been science fiction, even if those themes have been gradually less focused on.
What Devodiere is saying is that the authenticity of the aliens in Mass Effect isn't their function within the story, they're devices used to dissect problems and ideas relevant to us in a somewhat detached environment. It's not "anthropomorphization for customer relatability's sake." The term "Science" isn't bound to the quantitative sciences, like physics, astrophysics and chemistry, science fiction can focus solely on sociological problems and still be scifi. The definition with which "hard science fiction" was coined is not a linear scale that decides what science fiction is.
And neither do you for that matter. I know what the Aliens in ME exist for, and the analog is pretty much the same reason fantasy races exist in FRPG's, which again has jack shit to do with exploring a scientific principle.
It's not "anthropomorphization for customer relatability's sake."
Actually yeah it is , and the people making the game have stated exactly that, in the gametrailer interview over the kind of people you'll meet in the game.
Following sheffield's rule that if the buzzwords can be removed and the story still exists wholesale it actually isn't science fiction.
The general thrust is you remove the science fiction buzzwords and replace them with something else without bothering to actually explore the concepts the word espouse.
science fiction can focus solely on sociological problems and still be scifi.
No it can't, unless the sociological problems are generated by scientific advancement which is conjectured and explored. Racism is space isn't science fiction, and as stated just because it has a futuristic backdrop doesn't make it science fiction.
You can label it whatever you want.
Wow 27X, people have been arguing over the definition of science fiction for almost 100 years. Thanks for clearing that up for us.

Yeah, you'd think everyone is fucking blind. People GLANCE at the image, don't even take a second look at it, and go, "OH NO PARAGON AND RENEGADE CANCEL OUT!"
No, they don't. There's a little blue and red slither on the bar. Renegade goes down, paragon goes up. It's the exact same as the previous system, they've just combined the two meters into one bar split into two halves rather than having an entire, huge bar for each alignment.
Oh ffs they're reusing all the weapons.
Whatever I don't care anymore
Oh ffs they're reusing all the weapons.

Because there have been huge advancements in weaponry in the couple of weeks between Arrival and ME3.
Oh ffs they're reusing all the weapons.

Less time spent making new weapons, more time spent on everything else. Anyway, I like my Mattock.
I like the new paragon/renegade bar more.
no, it fucking sucks, encouraging you to make decisions based on what moral points you're gonna get rather than the best course of action you think is necessary
I fully support the complete removal of any kind of moral choice bar to be honest, and a thorough rejigging of the dialogue options so you have to think about what you're gonna say
[editline]24th June 2011[/editline]
also that skills menu is fucking ugly
Oh ffs they're reusing all the weapons.

Silly goose you can modify weapons. And not just slapping scopes on them, you can change out barrels and do extensive mods.
I like the approach to weapons they made in ME2 though. Having a few very different weapons is better than having to compare stats for a million different guns to see which one you want to use.

Good thing I almost always think the renegade approach is necessary huehuehue
Also, I'm wondering what the case will be for renegade Sheps being imported. Will they still have the hardcore red glow and whatnot?
