Also, I'm wondering what the case will be for renegade Sheps being imported. Will they still have the hardcore red glow and whatnot?
Pretty sure it was confirmed, there was a discussion about it a few pages back.
Using Miranda as the biotic specialist for the suicide mission? Heavy risk...but the* beeeeeeees.

I think it'd be cool if you could renegade blame people for others dying during the suicide mission.
Like in that video, if you could tell Miranda she's a terrible person and let Thane die.
I just want to see the insane troll logic renegade Shepard uses in ME3

"It's your fault Mordin died!"
"But... you shot him in the back of the head."
"What?! How dare you!"
cain would be fucking overpowered in an MP game
Considering how slow it is to fire, anyone with a Matt, Rev GPR, PGS, or sniper would turn you to swiss cheese.
They're largely the same, many politicians have law degrees, or at least some schooling in it.
Also Casey just said ME3 is the best game to get if you're new to the series, what the hell.
Umm BW would like to remain popular and proftiable, and EA is spending like 50 million on marketing. Not really mysterious.
Because there have been huge advancements in weaponry in the couple of weeks between Arrival and ME3.
I guess I wasn't a fan of the first's weapon system but I liked that there were so many corporations that made them, like Kassa Fabrications and what have you, and you were involved with many corporations in general in your quests on Feros and Noveria and stuff, and that wasn't really there in the second, so I hope they bring them back into the story a little.

In retrospect, every story world Shepard goes to (with the exception of Virmire) could be considered a corporate world.

But they would get more money if they said start from the beginning.
But they would get more money if they said start from the beginning.
Forcing players to go back to the start of the series and play through all 3 games to get the full experience out of the last one really doesn't bring in a lot of people. It alienates people who haven't played the old games so you can't just pick up ME3 and enjoy it the same. If that is what they mean by making it more accessible to new players then I'm perfectly fine with that, I actually like it.
But they would get more money if they said start from the beginning.
I don't think so. I think saying "You need to start from the beginning in order to really understand what is going on," would deter a lot of casual gamers away from buying the game. Gotta face the fact that the average person (especially on the console) isn't willing to buy the previous 2 games in the trilogy just to get the full experience. You don't see people buying Gears of War 1-2 so they can better enjoy Gears of War 3. That's just the mindset of the average console gamer.
Saying "Yeah, it's a trilogy, but no worries the game will bring you up to speed," is a much smarter course of action. Dedicated gamers that really want the full experience can still go out and purchase the other two games.

Margins on older titles is less.
Skipping posts here, but I hope you guys realize it's not one paragon/renegade bar, it's just the two stuck together.
If you look closely, you can see the blue from the paragon, and the red from the renegade, it's just a weird ass funky two bars in one design
Got my account verified

Is the n7 hoodie still available. Pretty late I know but I was just wondering. Also Mav I thought you bought it, how good is it as a hoodie?

No one in this thread has ever played KOTOR.
Protip: Disagreeing with sarcasm makes you look stupid.

It's excellent. Very warm, it's not super thin like cheap hoodies. Very comfortable, holds up in the rain well, doesn't have any stupid "lol vidya gaems" things on it as far as I can tell.
Sizing is a bit strange though. I got a large, the sleeves are a great length but the chest area is snug. I like it that way, but the chest area is definitely tighter fitting than the standard large hoodie. So if you're a big fella, you might want to move up a size higher than usual.
What is it, like 60 bucks? Can't remember since I bought the thing over a year ago. Definitely worth the cash, it's still as good as new despite going through rainstorms, having beer spilled on it, and being exposed to a lot of smoke.
And neither do you for that matter.
What is this referring to?
I know what the Aliens in ME exist for, and the analog is pretty much the same reason fantasy races exist in FRPG's, which again has jack shit to do with exploring a scientific principle.
This part is a little cryptic but as I understand it, the alien races in ME and races in fantasy rpgs serve a similar purpose that has nothing to do with exploring science.
I assume this means you completely disagree with the
they're devices used to dissect problems and ideas relevant to us in a somewhat detached environment.
part of my post.
So far, so good. At this point I'm not sure if you're claiming that sociology isn't actually a science or that the racial conflicts in Mass Effect have no sociological significance.
Actually yeah it is , and the people making the game have stated exactly that, in the gametrailer interview over the kind of people you'll meet in the game.
Following sheffield's rule that if the buzzwords can be removed and the story still exists wholesale it actually isn't science fiction.
The general thrust is you remove the science fiction buzzwords and replace them with something else without bothering to actually explore the concepts the word espouse.
You've completely lost me, could you rephrase this part or give me some relevant examples?
No it can't, unless the sociological problems are generated by scientific advancement which is conjectured and explored.
The Krogan rebellions and the genophage fit this perfectly, although I don't really agree with what you're claiming.
Racism is space isn't science fiction,
Sure it is, if there's social scientific significance involved it's legitimately science fiction.
...and as stated just because it has a futuristic backdrop doesn't make it science fiction.
Naturally.
Guys, guess what.

I wish I could get one of those, but 60 bucks is damn expensive and shipping will cost a fortune also.
Incoming the 'omg insanity is so easy' comments.
Not if you use snipers/reave/gsb it doesn't. Just concentrate on a single target with all per cooldown, move to the next, if fighting a mech or prae, switch to secondary weapons and spam + power/tech as appropriate.
easy != simple
Incoming the 'omg insanity is so easy' comments.
Well, it wasn't easy, but it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Just choose the right combination of teammates for each mission, hug cover like it was your mother, and upgrade everything.
Also I was a Vanguard, pull helped me a lot.
Dominate/AI hacking (Dominate moreso since it works on Collectors) make Hardcore/Insanity easy mode. Pick squaddies than can blast away the shields/armor of whatever enemies you're facing, then just slap those powers downrange. You can seriously use that shit until only one guy is left.
Also, I found the first time on the Collector ship (especially the part when you get ambushed on the platforms right after activating shit) to be the hardest part of the whole game on Insanity. Nearly crushed my controller my first time through as a soldier. Sentinel + Dominate made things pretty piss easy though. Tech armor allows you to just put your shields back up the second they go down, add dominate in there and it's just retarded.
On Grunt's recruiting mission, when you fight Jeodore and the big mech? I used dominate on the first krogan that came out of a pod (after working away his armor and whatnot) and just kept using it over and over while I told my squaddies to blast the mech with overload. For some stupid reason (prolly because regen rates are up the ass for krogan on Insanity) the mech couldn't kill the krogran. After the mech was done, I just kept using dominate on him until he killed Jeodore. After that it was a good warp and a throw to put that sucker down for us to just blast away.
Kinda made me want to have him on my squad though, since he did so much work for me.

6-12 months :eng101:
Huh, what happened to being able to throw grenades, charm and intimidate attirbutes?
Grenades were removed because people had heavy weapons now and you were expected to use them if you wanted some explosions. Charm and Intimidate points were removed for who knows what reason, maybe to make it easier. People still argue over it but IMO it does make the skill system tighter and you don't have to sacrifice combat ability to have good endings.

rated disagree even though I actually haven't played KOTOR

Charm and intimidate were useless anyway IMO, the amount you could put on them depended on your paragon / renegade anyway, so all it did was waste points.
