Critical Mission Failure
more like critical mission awesome
I forgot about all the elevators in the first game. So many elevators.
Many elevators indeed, but it was better than loading screens. I raged when I was reading the IGN review and they basically said "its great that they replaced those boring elevator sequences with even more boring loading screens." Its the same thing, at least elevators is fairly seamless :psyduck:

I would prefer one long loading screen than tons of little ones, especially when you are running back and forth like on Novaria, so many elevators just to go there for 2 seconds.
I'm gonna start a femshep Mass Effect 2 playthrough. Any fun classes I should try? (I've always played as a vanguard)
I'm gonna start a femshep Mass Effect 2 playthrough. Any fun classes I should try? (I've always played as a vanguard)
What did you like more about Vanguard? The powers or the weaponry. Soldier for weaponry, Adept for powers. But if you want something new, try the other classes, like Sentinel. [editline]25th June 2011[/editline] also, those elevators were boring as all hell. :colbert:
The loading screens in ME2 were better?
Quite honestly, I didn't mind the loading screens one bit. I was easily distracted by the science stuff while I waited to load. Trying to figure out what the tiny bits on the screen meant before the next area loaded.
Loading screens RUINED the immersion for me. Elevators were much better.

So how do I make Mass Effect 1 not look like shit on PC? I fixed the ugly textures, but it's still kinda ugly.
That is true, although you'll have seen it after one playthrough. :v: I would still have preferred elevators, though.
I know, I still enjoyed it. Then again I'm not easily annoyed by these tiny changes like everyone else. [editline]25th June 2011[/editline]
So how do I make Mass Effect 1 not look like shit on PC?
Loading screens RUINED the immersion for me. Elevators were much better.
The elevators made the citadel feel Big. Same was it with the mako. The things you often did with it might have been boring, But it made the galaxy feel bigger then in ME2. Too bad we could not visit the Presidium in ME2. I missed that
Yes, they made the citadel feel big, but at the expense of pacing. Nothing more jarring than to be told that "WE MUST HURRY AND FIND THE CONDUIT!" then spend literally 10 minutes walking from one side of the citadel to the other to get to your ship. Obviously fast travel helped too, so it wasn't too much of an issue, but still.
Well, Since we had the fast travel it was not so much of a problem. And i probably only really walked around the citadel on my first and seconds playthrough, and after that using the fast travel. But just knowing that it was there and that i could walk the distance if i wanted made the feeling
Why not elevators with a view this time, that might make people happy.
More squad banter, that's what I enjoyed about the elevator sequences
More squad banter, that's what I enjoyed about the elevator sequences
They've said that ME3 will have more squad banter than any of the ME games yet.
legion getting it's groove on. sorry for the 15mb gif by the way.
They've said that ME3 will have more squad banter than any of the ME games yet.
And that is great. I want another Krogan testicles talk :q:
Mass effect thread steam group chat room [BEER] Jimmy entered chat. Darth GW[h+]³: sexy wrex Urdnot Wrex: s Urdnot Wrex: darn Darth GW[h+]³: uh [BEER] Jimmy left chat. THAT WAS COMPLETELY OUT OF CONTEXT
The first time i played ME1, i got lost in the citadel, i only used fast travel and it took me 15 minutes to figure out the way to the normandy.
I've got a solution for long walking in the citadel before you get all the fast travel options. Open the console and type in 'superspeed' I believe that is it. The name of it speaks for itself.
Oh, I loved the elevator music in ME1. So catchy.
There were rumors that there will be gay/lesbian romances in ME3. Is that true?
I say, Ney commandeth, that Urdnot Wrex (On Crack) be allowed the greath 'onor of govenor of the propery named "Sawmill" So sayeth the greath spycrab in the sky
There were rumors that there will be gay/lesbian romances in ME3. Is that true?
Yey mine lady, for the romancing between man and man has been in thee previous elecronic entertainment. Therefore it is likley to do so again
My yawns sound like Reaper groans.
There were rumors that there will be gay/lesbian romances in ME3. Is that true?
It was confirmed by bioware a while ago.
There were rumors that there will be gay/lesbian romances in ME3. Is that true?
Indeed, Hamburger Helper was promoted and decided to make a few changes to the game. It was confirmed that all previous characters in the first two games are now bisexual love interests. To quell any fears of 'accidently' romancing someone you didn't want to, upon the first conversation with each squadmate they will announce their romantic interest, and shepard can either choose to pursue it, or refuse. It was decided that a bunch of mindless chatter is boring, so all squad conversations on the normandy are now restricted to romance-related dialogue. Choosing not to pursue a romance with a character will result in having no further interaction with them. This is a slight drawback as you then cannot gain their loyalty. But of course the Mass Effect games are all about choice, and dealing with your mistakes is part of that. You see, rather than loyalty missions, you will have loyalty 'dates', where a good performance (both on the date and after it, if you catch my drift) will earn your squadmates loyalty. Rather than getting alternative armour, upon earning a characters loyalty you gain access to their wardrobe where you can customize their everyday wear, formal attire and pajamas. Fortunately for all you completionists out there, polygamous relationships are now an option, Shepard can carry out the romance plots of every character at once, so you don't have to miss out on anything!
