To anybody who is thinking of playing through ME2 on insanity, pick geth shield boost as a bonus power. It has saved my life so many times.
Embrace eternity is a stupid name and Liara is stupid for saying it.
I agree, Vulcan Mind Meld is a better name.
I just got through Horizon on insanity. This is surprisingly fun!

I am a soldier what should I pick as my bonus ability? I was thinking either slam or dominate?
Biotics weren't nerfed, they were just balanced. Sure, adepts tend to have a hard time at first on hardcore/insanity because both their powers and weapons are weak. However, if you can get through the first few levels, you quickly become a force to be reckoned with. Virtually every adept power incapacitates enemies for a period of time, an incredibly valuable ability to have on high difficulties.
Are you kidding me biotics sucked compared to the first this is coming from someone who thinks Adept is the only acceptable class, before you could throw that Asari on Feros clear across the room into the void below, clear out entire rooms of enemies with one singularity, barrier through all of insanity, and stasis/warp the shit out of everything big. In the second one the only real sense of power you got was using shockwave to kill swarms of those zombie guys in one hit and that skill isn't even commonly used. I had to play through ME2 insanity as soldier (ugh) because my maxed out adept couldn't match the damage output of a Revenant.
And even that worked on normal or below since higher and they got armour :v:

Because so many enemies have shields and barriers at insanity, Warp ammo ends up being useful in more situations than any shield boost ability.

Also, why bioware, why. Why add respawning enemies :( I was literally stuck for 10 minutes trying to fight off krogans who kept respawning until I ran out of ammo and died.

Yeah, that part annoyed me. Was amusing to spam Mordin's "Incinerate" and then follow it up with a nice concussion shot from Garrus.
Grunts recruitment mission was such pain in general really, atleast I did it early so I have the strongest squadmate on my squad. The last part is the worst. Heavy mech firing at you, krogans constantly pushing forward and Jedora firing her rockets are you. Such clusterfuck.

I miss the days when the final boss actually meant a real fuckin' challenge. *looks back fondly on Half-Life, Spyro the Dragon and Crash Bandicoot*

Walton Simmons isn't really a boss.
The reason for re-levelling in this game is that the prison warden confiscated your levels and exp. God knows whats he's doing with it now. And the bio screen will probably be you filling in your legal data for the trial.
You keep your level in ME3.
Walton Simmons isn't really a boss.
not quite the deus ex thread, but at least I get the post
Well I'm just commenting on the video. :v:
which I missed somehow, my fault.

HUGE difference in difficulty.
The reaper didnt even seem like a boss to me. Was incredibly easy to survive, shit the collectors that spawned were a bigger threat.

Worst we got was two scions.
I wonder how Conrad Verner will be in ME3...
Which reminds me, how the FUCK did Bioware miss the opportunity to throw a Praetorian in the suicide mission?
I wonder how Conrad Verner will be in ME3...
I bet you get a letter of thanks from his wife if your actions cause his death.
Suicide mission was in general way easier than the collector ship, in terms of difficulty it doesn't really make sense.
I desperately hope Bioware ratchets up the difficulty and scale of the battles in ME3. The 3-person squad mechanic works perfectly well, but I'd love to have 20 soldiers fending off waves of husks.
